Hand-washing with soap is a simple low cost, high impact initiative that can help prevent deadly diseases like diarrhea and respiratory disorders.
Did you know that 1800 kids die every day in India because of these disorders?
In order to do this, we need to provide the right infrastructure at govt and Zilla Parishad schools in both rural and urban India as a first step. This crowdfunding initiative of mine is a campaign that is being done by me and my fellow students at DSB International School in Mumbai to raise funds to set up such handwashing stations in schools in the Palghar district of Maharashtra. This will save lives and build a healthy generation of children.
My aim is to raise 27500 INR to fund the cost of making and installing an entire hand wash station at a govt school in the Palghar area near Mumbai. This is being done in partnership with the Rotary Club of Bombay and is part of the initiative of Rotary District 3141. This effort champions the cause of health and hygiene and is a low cost, high impact initiative. Each hand station will be used every day by at least 100 to 1000 students depending on the school size. Imagine how many kids will lead a healthier life because of you?
If I raise 27500 INR it will be used for making one hand-wash station. If I raise 40000 INR I can fund one and part-fund another. Similarly raising INR 55000 helps us fund two such stations.

To ensure that there is complete transparency the team at Rotary club of Bombay will post feedback about 4-8 months after the campaign gets over telling us which school the hand-wash station has been installed at and how your funds were used. The details will then be posted on the UPDATES section of my campaign and will be in a format like the one below. As soon as I post an update, the platform will send an SMS and EMAIL alert to you. Click on the link on the email and you can read about which child benefitted. That's transparent right.

How does crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept & is growing very quickly.
It’s a concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online. Fueladream.com is a crowdfunding platform in India that allows for such pooling of funds. You can fund innovations & ideas on FuelADream and be the first to get these products or make them come true. You can also do a good turn by funding charities and causes through crowdfunding. When you fund a charity it’s more like a donation & you get small innovative rewards like a shout-out on an FB page or a thank you email from the beneficiaries
