Hi, I am George, a 21-year-old boy from Bangalore. Currently, I live in Sevilla, Spain doing my course to fulfill my dream of being a professional footballer at the first division.

In 2018, I have joined MV8 Football Academy in Sevilla for a full year training course to improve my Technical, Tactical, Psychological & Physical (TTPP) ability to be able to compete with the likes of professional football players in Europe and South America.

Though my one year course ends in June 2019, I would like to continue here for another year as I feel I could be even better if I continue to perform at this level for a longer duration to accomplish the targets set by me. With the constant guidance and training by the team at MV8 Football Academy, I am sure I would continue to achieve things once thought to be impossible and make my country proud. 

My parents have been really supportive and I am grateful for what they have done. They have allowed me to fulfill my dream and taken the risks of sending me to Spain rather than to the Law college in Bangalore. They have already spent about 30L on me in the past year. I need another 25L to enroll for the next academic batch starting from Sep 2019. I am falling short of that much money which would cover my Academy fees, travel, food and stay. So I have decided to do this crowdfunding campaign to raise funds to meet my expenses. Please support my campaign with a little contribution from your end.

ABOUT THE ACADEMY

The MV8 Football Academy is a professional Soccer Football Academy in Spain, that attracts youth players from around the world and gives them the opportunity to train and compete at the Spanish highest level.

Massimo Valenziano is the founder of MV8 International Football Academy. Once a player at Palermo, he is now an FAA Licence qualified coach who has had the experience of coaching in many different countries including the UK, Ireland, Russia, Italy, and Spain.

We are very passionate at MV8 Football Academy and we strongly believe that if you love what you do, you will overtake any obstacles that you will face, to fulfill your dream.

At the MV8 Football Academy, we focus on individual development. Through individual coaching and individual programming, we believe that players need to have their own daily routine to be able to continuously and consistently grow and evolve. We endeavor to produce young players with the skills, qualities, and attributes needed to play professional football at the highest level.

Our philosophy is based on, guiding, supporting and pushing the players to be and become more. To get to their next level, through a detailed and effective program. We have created a competitive environment, where all the players will be stimulated to constantly get better. We identify where the players need to improve, in that specific time of their development.  The academy program encourages each player to reach his full potential as he passes through the development phases. WHY FUND ME?

I have been playing football since the age of 10 and always been a very athletic and energetic kid. Being a student of St Joseph’s Boys High School, Bangalore, I was privileged to be a member of the Under 12 school football team. I was a passionate swimmer as well. I have won many prizes and medals for football and athletics. I have won many inter-school and college level football tournaments. I have played for Christ University and won trophies in football tournaments and medals in 100m and 4x100m relay in athletics, at the college level.

I have also played in the ‘The Amateur League’ Bangalore and won the Division in 2017 with Vamos FC.

I was studying Law from 2016 onwards but took a gap year to pursue football completely because that is where my true passion lies. I have taken the risk of leaving the chance of a promising career in law to pursue my greatest and only passion in life, that is, football!

So in September 2018 I took the bold step and left for Sevilla, Spain to become a great footballer by training and playing at the MV8 Football Academy. I have been training at the academy and playing matches as well and seen a great improvement in my tactical and technical ability as a footballer. I have also been training with a local Spanish club, Montequinto FC since January of 2019 to further reach my goal of becoming a professional footballer.

The reason I came to Spain is because of the country’s reputation for producing the some of the best footballers in the world; some great examples being Messi(although from Argentina, spent his whole youth and career living and training at Barcelona), Xavi, Iniesta, Casillas, etc.

Spanish football is a combination of great technical ability, rapid movements, passing with speed, high amount of possession and tactical prowess. During my time here since September 2018, I have been able to greatly incorporate all these aspects into my game, individually. In today’s society in India, we see a greater number of parents encouraging their kids into sports and considering it as a serious career for their children.

I am very lucky to have such wonderful parents who have an open mindset and want to support me 100% in achieving my dream.

By becoming a professional footballer and one day representing my country at the international level, I hope to inspire young boys and girls of our country to follow their passion and know, that if you love something and put in the time and effort for it, you will succeed!
