How to pre-order your MURTLE?
STEP 1: PICK A REWARD

THE STARTER KIT that you pre-order has one pair of footwear with 3 removable straps in WHITE , BLACK AND TAN COLORS. To clarify again - with each pair of footwear that you order, there are three straps that will come with it - White, Tan and Black. See image below

STEP 2 : WHAT ABOUT SELECTING MORE STRAPS?
Lets start with the straps: Anyone who books a MURTLE through this crowdfunding campaign gets 3 basic straps. You can get additional designer straps for just INR 99 per extra strap. After you pre-order your MURTLE's the campaign owner will connect with you & help you order your additional straps. Choose from the range below (you will receive the catalog showing all the strap designs) .We have over 15 designs to choose from.
So if you decide to order 5 more straps you will need to confirm which ones and pay the campaign owner 99*5= INR 495 additionally. These straps will then be shipped to you along with the base pack that you ordered.

MURTLE is available for both MEN & WOMEN in the following sizes :
UK / IND sizes - from 4 to 10
EUR sizes - 36 to 44
US sizes - Men 4.5 to 10.5 and Women 6 to 12
Once you pre-order your MURTLE we will get in touch with you to find out about your requirement for additional designer straps (as explained in the previous steps).

Sole Plates ®
Sole plates (Patented): What makes MURTLE durable, versatile and unique in addition to the CORK material are the sole plates. The conventional modular footwear use either velcro or Magnets to achieve interchangeability. Their life reduces over time as they come in contact with water and dust repeatedly. The "Sole plates" are made of ABS plastic which is highly durable and wear resistant for a very long duration. The plates employ threading mechanism which is as reliable as ISRO's rocket launch. The engineering team has considered for all the linear/ tangential and shear stress a sole plate faces and then zeroed down on all the values. We still continue to test, so that we deliver nothing but the best!
WHAT'S IN IT FOR
The designers and artists?
The materials never imagined before can now be used on a footwear. Silk, Jute, wool are something which can now possibly go on footwear. We will open a design guideline for artists to design straps and contribute to ecosystem. Some models also support bidri & copper artists who can make motifs to be used as embellishments on the footwear.
The Society?
MURTLE is made with complete natural materials and processes supporting sustainable fashion & design. The idea is to reduce waste whilst keeping pace with changing footwear trends. moreover, the changeable straps help reduces the material consumption by whooping 70%. The plan is to finally produce these in Adilabad, Telangana, one of the most backward districts of the country. This gives employment opportunities to the locals and tribal population there .

ABOUT ME AND THIS COMPANY
Shashank - Founder and CEO
My name is Shashank Pawar. I am 25 years & a graduate from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal. This footwear is made by my company. My team and I have been working on MURTLE since 2015 and the product that we have created has involved a tremendous amount of R&D. My team settled on fixing the adjustable straps with bottle screw caps instead of good old velcro, "which would lose its stress, or magnets, which would pick up at least 200 grams of metallic dust while you are out and about," he explains. The soles can be paired with use-and-throw straps made of material like jute cotton, mangalagiri cotton, synthetic leather and resin.
The name of my company is WHOZ HIGH & we currently make the MURTLE footwear at Kompally in Hyderabad, Telangana. My firm was the official merchandise partner of Baahubali and during the first general elections in New Delhi, the brand's hoodies and t-shirts were worn by the brothers, Raghu Ram and Rajiv Laxman of MTV Roadies fame.
We plan to over time make it more indigenous by employing the people of my hometown, Adilabad. "Adilabad is one of the most backward districts in the whole country. I want to give back by creating employment opportunities there," says Shashank, whose parents are doctors.

How many straps do I get?
In the starter kit, you get three pairs of straps (Black, White and Tan)
Do I get an extra set of screws?
Yes. The starter kit comes with a extra set JUST in case you misplace one .
What if I lose screws in the future?
You can always get back to us for an extra set.

Do you offer a guarantee?
Yes the product comes with a 6 month guarantee. We are sure of what we do.
How is the MURTLE priced so low?
We are doing this campaign to raise funds to make our dream come through.We will make profits after we start to sell this through the retail. Since you are supporting our innovation its only fair that we give it to you at almost cost with wafer thin margins.
Is it waterproof?
MURTLE is water repellant .
What are the care/cleaning guidelines?
Clean it with wet cloth. That's it!
What are our labour practices?
We pay our workers as per the Indian governments minimum wage act. All the tailors & artisans who work in our factory are above the age of 21. We are an equal opportunity employer.
Are there any international custom fees?
International shipping comes at additional cost. However any duty/taxes/local levies etc if applicable are not factored for and will be the responsibility of the funder.You will need to pay this when you receive the product.
What is your policy on returns?
We do not have a return policy. Since we are crowdfunding it and doing this at a breakthrough price we cannot afford a return policy. Refer our size chart to ensure you select the best fit!
What happens if product delivered is damaged?
If the product is received damaged, you will have 48 hours to contact us and book an exchange. Post the 48 hour period, we will not be in a position to accept exchange requests.
