Please fund this campaign and together we can provide physical, emotional, psychosocial and financial support for cancer patients and their families. This campaign has 80-G tax benefits as the receipts are issued by CanSupport which is a non-profit.
The money raised will be given directly after the campaign ends to CanSupport. This will help to fund the different home care teams who visit the terminally ill patients and their families. I shall then send you an update about the individual and the family that you have helped so that you know where your money has gone.
There are hundreds of patients like ASHA for whom a visit from a CanSupport person is a breath of fresh air. Together let's give comfort, care, and a better life to patients like ASHA. All of them will not recover from their cancer as in most cases it may be terminal. Please fund this campaign so that we can be a godsend to patients like ASHA.
My name is SUKKRITI NATH and I am a grade 12 student at Pathways, Gurgaon.
The hopes, dreams, and goals of a person could shatter like broken glass with the mention of just one word - ‘Cancer’.
Cancer is the second most common disease in India responsible for maximum mortality. And most of these deaths are due to a lack of reliable information followed by proper treatment. We could change that.
I aim to raise INR 20,000 or more to fund CanSupport, an organization aiming to help parents with advanced cancer receive appropriate care and assistance. This includes medical help via visits to the patient's home. The team usually makes about 10 visits to a patient.
As people who have been blessed with health and wealth, let us extend our hands in helping others overcome their hard times. Even a small amount could help someone who is a cancer patient get their life back. Please contribute to the cause and spread the word.
We provide home-based palliative care in 4 states of India. DELHI: 21 Teams in All 11 Districts, HARYANA: 4 Teams (Palwal, Faridabad & Gurgaon), UP: 4 Teams (Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar & Greater Noida) and PUNJAB: 3 Teams (Amritsar, Gurdaspur & Bathinda). Our home care teams of doctors, nurses, and counselors visit the patients at their homes and render care. We have 32 such teams operating from 15 centers. Currently, we look after 2300 patients at any point in time. We are the largest home-based palliative care service provider in North India. We also have two Outpatient Clinics for pain and symptom management, Day Care centers along with peer support group and Telephone Helpline. All these services are free of charge for our patients.
The cost of one home care visit costs INR 1000, one patient generally receives 10 visits before the treatment and visit end so INR 10000 will cover the home care cost for one person.
This money allows CanSupport to provide families with factual information to help them make informed decisions for themselves, pain relief for the patient, nursing care and medical assistance counseling and emotional support for the patient and their families, financial and legal support as well as help with any other issues the family find themselves facing.

We are raising this money so that more people can receive the help and support of the different CanSupport home-care teams. The money will mean that more families affected by cancer can be supported through the palliative care services CanSupport provides free of charge.
Once the campaign ends, I will post updates to keep the funders (ie. YOU) aware of the patient and the family that your money has supported and in what way it has impacted and helped them. If I reach my goal of INR 40000 I shall continue this campaign so that I can collect more funds and help more families to receive the help that they need.
Funding for this campaign is eligible for tax breaks as the hospital is a registered trust & you can avail of benefits under section 80G of the IT act 1961. Foreign funding is also accepted.
As the CanSupport team visits homes to look after cancer patients, we will be able to provide the donors with photos and testimony of the patient/caregiver. They are also welcome to go for home visits with the CanSupport team.
Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to CanSupport. It will take from 2 to 3 months after that to get details of fund use. Once we get this information from them, we shall upload this to the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert & can read details about the impact we have made and how the monies have been spent.
It takes a week after the campaign is closed for the monies to be transferred. The receipts will start getting processed about 2 to 3 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.
