Every parent has hopes and dreams for their child. From the time they are born, every day, parents think of great possibilities for their children. So when a special child with different abilities is born into a family, parents find it difficult to understand and accept this reality. From there begins their long and arduous search to find how their child can fit into the society………..
Meet Maya, Maya’s daughter Khushboo was a ‘normal’ baby who met all her developmental milestones including saying ‘mama’ and ‘papa’ at 9 months of age. However, when she turned 2, she stopped sleeping soundly at night and kept everybody awake. She displayed a lot of peculiar behaviours, flapping her hands, spinning and screaming. Her unpredictable screaming tantrums caused enormous stress and anxiety to the family. Maya realized that something was different about her child. Khushboo was taken to the Institute of Medical Sciences in Chandigarh and several tests were done. When the physician pronounced the word ” autistic”, Maya was not sure that she had ever heard the word earlier and tried to learn more about it. She wondered if it was a nightmare and that she would wake up from her slumber to see her dear daughter Khushboo playing with her toys and running around the house like all other children.
There are many parents like Maya out there whom we are trying to reach, to offer our services to make a difference in the lives of their children. We at V-Excel have very concrete plans and programs that can help children like Khushboo. We need support from people like you to help such children cope with this world, to function effectively and to have a happy life.
If you have been looking for an opportunity to make a difference in this world, one person at a time..... look no further!
Raising and educating a special child is the first step. The NEXT STEP, is to EMPOWER that child to become Independent. HOW DO YOU DO THAT?
CURATIVE EDUCATION IS THE ANSWER
Curative Education is a unique and distinctive approach that ensures holistic development of the child by working on self esteem, development of psycho-social skills and independent life-skills. This methodology fortifies the environment and one can watch learning flow naturally....
THE MANTRA OF CURATIVE EDUCATION IS
To educate the whole child “the head, heart, and hands” and not the head alone..
The curriculum is as broad as time will allow, and balances academics subjects with artistic and practical activities.
Our teachers are dedicated to creating a genuine love of learning within each child. By freely using arts and activities in the service of teaching academics, an internal motivation to learn is developed in the students
