DPS Empower: Kids for Inclusion!
As children, our parents have dreams for us. They are excited about every phase of our life. But what happens when their baby is Autistic? Differently abled? Only a few parents, have the ability to keep these dreams intact. They then live worrying about 'What will happen to their child after they get to 16 years of age'. What next?
This very question now has a solution. Let me introduce you to the wonderful work that the NGO called Biswa Gowri Charitable Trust does. This Bangalore based NGO does work with individuals with Autism and has 2 programs in phases. Phase 1 is the Bubbles Centre for Autism where these individuals study till they are 14-16 years of age. They then graduate to Pragati, in Phase 2, for skill based vocational training that addresses the question of 'What next?' Here, they are trained on computers, taught block printing, baking and regular housekeeping skills. These are activities that they will be able to do on a day-to-day basis & will help them make a living.
The students of Delhi Public School (Bangalore North) are taking a radical step towards 'Inclusion'.
We are crowdfunding to help raise funds for both the Bubbles Centre for Autism and Pragati. A big chunk of the funds raised will be for salaries they need to pay to the teachers, the special educators.

ABOUT ME AND MY REASON TO SUPPORT THIS CAMPAIGN
I am TARUNI KHARIA from DPS, Bangalore North and this is my attempt to make a difference to the lives of individuals my age.
Out of the total population in India, around 20 million people suffer from various kinds of disabilities. All of them need care, attention and extremely talented teachers to take support and take care of their development. From a perspective of Autism, there are a handful of NGO's that address the needs of what to do with individuals with Autism after they become 16 years of age.
I want to support this NGO which is doing something truly unique and also the special educators here. This campaign would help raise funds to help fund the cost of special educators for both Bubbles and Pragati & in the process impact individuals with Autism.

How does crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept & is growing very quickly.
It’s a concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an Idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online. Fueladream.com is a crowdfunding platform in India that allows for such a pooling of funds.
You can fund innovations & ideas on FuelADream and be the first to get these products or make them come true. You can also do a good turn by funding charities and causes through crowdfunding. When you fund a charity it’s more like a donation & you get small innovative rewards like a shout-out on an FB page or a thank you email from the beneficiaries.
