On this Earth Day, 22nd April, 2016, MoveInSync is bringing forward an initiative to plant 3000 saplings around Bangalore.

The urban explosion and the rise in the number of vehicles that Bangalore has witnessed in the last decade has led to a rise in temperatures as witnessed this summer. All this development has also led to the diminishing tree cover which had kept the city cool and pleasant. We need to find a way back to being a green-city and this is where this endeavour was born. We realise that this is a small step towards a giant problem and not an overnight solution, but a viable long term answer to the growing global warming concerns that we are facing as a planet.

Every little step matters and we have to start somewhere.

WHAT WE NEED

We are looking to crowdfund this campaign on fueladream.com by raising Rs. 1 lakh towards this re-greening initiative. MoveInSync has initiated this campaign with a corpus of Rs. 10,000 and we are looking forward to your active participation to help meet the target.

With this money, our initial target will be to plant 3,000 saplings in public spaces sourced from the horticulture department of the government of Karnataka.

The cost of each sapling is approximately Rs. 30, and all the money raised will go towards buying the saplings. These saplings will be planted across the city and looked after by those who care for trees, just like you.

WHO ARE WE

Over the last decade the city of Bangalore along with few other metro cities has seen immense economic growth coupled with increased density of vehicles. A large portion of the on road density is a result of large ITES companies setting up hubs in the country, employing thousands and offering transportation services to and fro from work.
