For most of us, ‘THALASSEMIA’ is just another term that we have read somewhere or heard about. However, in stark reality, thousands of patients battle Thalassemia on a regular basis, all through their lives. Thalassemia is a genetic blood disorder that leads to an excessive destruction of red blood cells, which results in anaemia. Children with Thalassemia require lifelong blood transfusions, as often as every three weeks and may need a daily dose of medicines to lead a almost normal life.I want to be a life saver and help those with Thalassemia through this crowdfunding campaign.
For over 3 decades now the Bangalore Medical Services Trust (BMST as its known was established by the Rotary Club of Bangalore and TTK Group of companies), has been providing blood banking services and blood transfusion to patients from all over Karnataka & the surrounding states. All the medical services provided by BMST are top-notch, and are made available free of cost to many patients who come to their premises, seeking help.
The only treatment option for those diagnosed with Thalassemia is regular blood transfusion (sometimes twice a month). Each transfusion costs about INR 2000 (two thousand) including crowdfunding charges.
HELP ME IN RAISING INR 20000 TO HELP COVER THE BLOOD TRANSFUSION COSTS FOR 10 INDIVIDUALS SUFFERING FROM THALASSEMIA.

How does crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept & is growing very quickly.
It’s a concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an Idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online. Fueladream.com is a crowdfunding platform in India that allows for such a pooling of funds.
You can fund innovations & ideas on FuelADream and be the first to get these products or make them come true. You can also do a good turn by funding charities and causes through crowdfunding. When you fund a charity it’s more like a donation & you get small innovative rewards like a shout-out on an FB page or a thank you email from the beneficiaries & Tax benefits if it involves a registered NGO.
