As a psychologist, from both theory and practice, returning to normalcy, including returning to daily living activities after any trauma or crisis, or the ability to continue with business as well. The most important reason for this is to prevent post-traumatic stress disorder in them.
For any person, in order to recover from any accidental tragedy, a swift return to normalcy of life is most essential. But for these victims, this return is being hindered by a loss of their livelihood. These were daily wage-workers and street vendors selling fruits and vegetables, food items on “thelas” in the by lanes of North East Delhi and since their thelas were burnt, they have lost their mode of earning.
The strain on their pockets exacerbates their mental health strain while they struggle with economic sustenance.
The affected residents of Northern East Delhi need extra support with working capital to get their lives back on track. With the help of the legal camps being conducted by lawyers from the Supreme Court, affected residents have been identified, their claims have been verified and a list of needy persons is being made.
By supporting my campaign, the funds raised will be used to provide these affected persons with a means of livelihood by giving them a working capital. The money that is collected will be divided and distributed amongst the affected parties in proportions of Rs 15,000-20,000 per person.
ABOUT US
Farah Husain - I am an anesthesiologist and an ardent believer in preventive health. Since I have worked in public and private sectors, there is a huge need for doctors to make people understand these preventable risks. Unmanageable stress is one of them. Through this campaign, I would like to do my bit to prevent the rampant onslaught of depression and mental health problems in the riot-affected population that is afflicted with the loss of livelihood and the exacerbated stress associated with it.

How does crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept & is growing very quickly.
It’s a concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online. Fueladream.com is a crowdfunding platform in India that allows for such pooling of funds. You can fund innovations & ideas on FuelADream and be the first to get these products or make them come true. You can also do a good turn by funding charities and causes through crowdfunding. When you fund a charity it’s more like a donation & you get small innovative rewards like a shout-out on an FB page or a thank you email from the beneficiaries.
