The problem of pollution lakes the rivers of India. The pollution of rivers can be broken down into two main categories, solid waste and chemical waste. Both require immediate attention, at Neer, it is our belief the solving the problem of solid waste pollution and rivers is the first step to reinstating India's reverse their historical glory.
Solid waste accumulates in rivers and impedes the flow of water, leeches harmful chemicals into the water, harms aquatic life both in the rivers and in the oceans where it eventually ends up, contributes to ocean waste accumulation, ruins the aesthetic of rivers, and causes countless other problems.
HELP ME RAISE INR 3L TO HELP CLEAN UP THE RIVERS IN INDIA
Our solution to this problem is the implementation of an indigenously designed, automatic, low cost, but effective system which collects floating and partially submerged solid waste and transports this waste to the bank where it can be processed and put to use. This system comprises 2 conveyor belts – one which is angled out of the water and picks the waste out of the water and one which collects the waste and carries it to the bank. Over the past year, my friend Keshav and I, the founders of Neer, have independently designed and led the fabrication of 2 prototypes of the machine. The first prototype, which has already been tested, yielded efficiencies as high as 95% in multiple runs – this implies that the prototype removed 95% of the waste which was dumped into the test channel.
Our second prototype has been deployed at IP Estate, Mudrika Marg, New Delhi where it is currently functioning. The machine has shown promising performance even though it is still a preliminary prototype. We are collecting waste at a rate of 30-40 Kg of waste per hour.

ABOUT ME
I am ANIRUDH BHASHYAM, 21-years old and pursuing a bachelors in Mathematics from Delhi University.
I am running a crowdfunding campaign to clean up India's rivers. All of us are aware of the state of the rivers in India. The Yamuna is one of the most polluted rivers in the world and we are reminded of this fact each time we cross it. As a student and someone who believes change requires effort I along with my friend Keshav Vasudeva have designed a river cleaning system. We hope to implement our project throughout India.

ABOUT NEER
Along with the deployment of our systems across India our mission is also to bring about awareness in the general population against the hazards of solid waste especially that in flowing water. Our vision at Neer is to clean India’s rivers starting with our very own Yamuna. We feel that showing people how our machine works in areas like drains is the most logical path to gaining experience, pedigree and establishing a supply chain, strong enough to deliver parts for a system which cleans the Yamuna, 24x7, without any human intervention!
FAQs
How does crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept & is growing very quickly.
It’s a concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online. Fueladream.com is a crowdfunding platform in India that allows for such pooling of funds. You can fund innovations & ideas on FuelADream and be the first to get these products or make them come true. You can also do a good turn by funding charities and causes through crowdfunding. When you fund a charity it’s more like a donation & you get small innovative rewards like a shout-out on an FB page or a thank you email from the beneficiaries.
