We have all experienced exam stress sometime during our lives. There are many lifestyle changes the entire family undergoes when a child is preparing to appear for an examination.
For the students at Akshaya Vidya centres, most parents are not aware of the pressure that a child undergoes at the time of examinations or the dietary changes that could help the children to mitigate the stress and focus instead. There have been cases where children chose to just drop out of school because they were unable to take the pressure of exams and parents did not see the need to guide the children otherwise, owing to their lack of awareness. they do not realise that they are contributed to the long list of 'school dropouts'.

At Akshaya Vidya, the focus is not only on education but also on ways to create a healthy & supportive environment for children to continue their education and perform well in their examinations. The parents are educated on the importance of being supportive and encouraging their children to focus on the revision, and not overworking them. But the work doesn't end there, it has been proven that dietary changes during the time of examination have shown to have noticeable changes in the performance of the children.

WHY BANANAS?

ABOUT EKLAVYA FOUNDATION
Eklavya foundation was established in 2006 with a view to helping marginalised sections of the society to be self-reliant. Beginning with the tribal communities in Adilabad district, pioneering work has been done in the fields of education, health, livelihoods and agriculture activities. Today Eklavya foundation activities spanned over 24 districts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Started in 2011, Akshaya Vidya is an endeavour that is aimed at the development of urban slum dwellers in the primary focus on education.
TAX BENEFITS
Funding for this campaign is eligible for tax breaks as Eklavya Foundation as an NGO is a registered trust & you can avail of benefits under section 80G of the IT act. Foreign funding is accepted too.

Will we get to know the details of who benefitted?
Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to Ekalavya Foundation. It will take 2-4 months after that to start getting details of fund use. Once I get this information from them I shall upload this on the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert & can read details about the beneficiaries.
When do I get the receipts?
The receipts will start getting processed about 4 to 6 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.
