There is a sense of alarm among healthcare professionals across India as the country hunkers down in wait for what many believe will be a surge of coronavirus cases. In order for healthcare workers to do their job, they need to be protected against the virus themselves, for which they need Personal Protection kits. There is a growing demand for it, But not an adequate supply of these kits– which is leading to a severe shortage.
During these dark and unprecedented times, it is the little things we do that matter the most. Thousands of people have succumbed to the COVID-19 and medical professionals are working relentlessly to emerge victorious in our fight against COVID-19. It is our responsibility to help those fighting this in the front line. Which is why I want to help provide them with PPE kits through the MASK-IT Initiative.
IT COSTS JUST INR 750 TO PROVIDE ONE PPE KIT TO A HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL.
All kits will be handed over to the Collector of Ranga Reddy District, Telangana.

ABOUT ME
My name is RISHIK THIMMAIAHGARI. I am 17 years old and in Grade 11 at the Indus International School, Hyderabad.
Initially, I have gravely underestimated the impact that this pandemic would have on us as a society. However, as the cases increase each day I began to understand the magnitude of the situation. Those who are leading our fight against this pandemic require our support at this time. My mother and father have been active contributors to this cause, and I figured that it was time to do my part. This is why I am initiating a campaign to help provide PPE kits to health care providers so that they can protect themselves while fighting in the frontlines.
I want to give at least 500 PPE kits if we raise more, more healthcare professionals will be impacted.

ABOUT THE NGO
A large number of children in villages lack education, they often work as a labourer in households or stay at home to take care of their siblings. Determined to get these children the education that they deserve, we began the Baasata foundation, a non-profit organisation that works towards the development of rural areas. Baasata Has constantly worked towards the improvement of education in several government schools. We have recruited teachers in a few schools to help students develop their skills in English and maths. Our volunteers also teach regularly at a few schools. We have conducted regular dental, cancer and eye care camps at schools as well as in villages. In addition to this, we also have taken students to LV Prasad for further treatment of visually impaired students. We planted 5000 plants in and around Mokilla. We also encouraged residential communities to recycle and promoted the construction of compost pits.

How does crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept & is growing very quickly. It’s a concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online. Fueladream.com is a crowdfunding platform in India that allows for such pooling of funds. You can fund innovations & ideas on FuelADream and be the first to get these products or make them come true. You can also do a good turn by funding charities and causes. When you fund a charity it’s more like a donation & you get small innovative rewards like a shout-out on an FB page or a thank you email from the beneficiaries.
