You have the power to help a starving family, right from the comforts of your home!
Akshaya Patra has been aiding the Government’s efforts by providing food relief to vulnerable communities, such as migrant labourers and homeless people. The Foundation is doing this through its network of kitchens and delivery vehicles, working closely with the Government of India, State Governments and other civic administrations across the country. But we still have a long way to go if we are to ensure that every vulnerable community gets the help they need to survive this crisis.
Funds from this campaign will be utilized across Bangalore.

ABOUT ME
My name is URVI KOTHARI. I am a Grade 11 student at Christ junior college.
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all of us in different ways. Perhaps the hardest hit is the daily wage earners, migrant labour and the financially poor. Suddenly they are without any source of income, and they are not able to provide food or the basic hygiene facilities to their families. They fear starvation more than the virus itself. At this juncture, we, the more privileged sections of the society need to step up to support them in this difficult time. The lockdown being extended puts an additional burden on them.
I request all of you to support my campaign so that we can also contribute to their well-being in our own small little way. This campaign aims to provide grocery boxes to them across Bangalore and is done by Akshaya Patra( through their kitchens) in close coordination with the local administration. Let's come together and do our bit to help our fellow countrymen.

How does crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept & is growing very quickly.
It’s a concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online. Fueladream.com is a crowdfunding platform in India that allows for such pooling of funds. You can fund innovations & ideas on FuelADream and be the first to get these products or make them come true. You can also do a good turn by funding charities and causes through crowdfunding. When you fund a charity it’s more like a donation & you get small innovative rewards like a shout-out on an FB page or a thank you email from the beneficiaries.
