Bangalore Political Action Committee (B.PAC), a leading civic group, deeply committed to overall betterment of Bengaluru City, is working for safety of women and children under its B.SAFE platform. The B.SAFE team works with key stakeholders in areas such as safety at schools, workplaces, public spaces and in sensitizing community. B.PAC believes that one key safety resource that Bengaluru lacks is sufficient number of counselling centres. Hence, B.PAC is leading a crowdfunding effort for PARIHAR to ensure they are able to reach out and help many more such women and children in the city.
PARIHAR IMPACT: TWO CASE STUDIES
1) A 15 year old in distress...
2) Beacon of hope in a strange land.
PARIHAR has been working relentlessly to help thousands of such women and children in need, and it implements, widespread awareness programs in the form of workshops, seminars, training sessions, etc across various sectors and communities of our Bengaluru City to help prevent and redress crimes against women and children.
Over two decades, PARIHAR has helped over thousands of families. However, they still under-serve Bengaluru city’s needs. PARIHAR has three services- Makkala Sahayavani (For Children), Vanitha Sahayavani (for Women) and Family Counselling Services. Bengaluru needs more such centres, which in turn requires funding. This crowdfunding campaign aims to raise money in two phases to collect enough funds to sustain the 3 current facilities plus start 2 new centres in Bangalore.

FAQs
How does crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept & is growing very quickly. It’s s concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an Idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online. Fueladream is a crowdfunding site and platform in India that allows for such a pooling of funds.
You can fund innovations & ideas on FuelADream and be the first to get these products or make them come true. You can also do a good turn by funding charities and causes through crowdfunding. When you fund a charity it’s more like a donation & you get small innovative rewards like a shout-out on a FB page or a thank you email from the beneficiaries in addition to tax benefits.
What are the crowdfunding charges?
Fueladream charges 2% for the payment for the payment gateway and 7% as crowdfunding charges. With GST the total comes to 10.62%. There is also an initial fee of 3000 INR which has been waived for this campaign.
