Mr. Basavarajappa aged about 65 years & his wife Mrs. Siddamma have been running a small provision store for the last 10 years at Davangere in Karnataka. Their older son KIRAN who is 26 years old , has been diagnosed with kidney failure and needs a transplant now. Mr Basavarajappa is an diabetic patient and his wife just got her eyes operated a month ago. Their younger son expired in an accident 7 years back. Whatever funds and savings they had, have been spent on dialysis for Kiran and they now realise that a transplant is their only way of getting their son to survive.
Your funding will give the parents a fresh lease of life.
PIC : The parents
In June 2017, they discovered that their only son Kiran was suffering from chronic Kidney disease stage 5 and would require to undergo dialysis until they found a donor for renal (Kidney) transplantation in the form of renal replacement therapy. Kiran T.B. is 26 years old and after completing his education, has been working for various financial institutions as a sales officer. He has worked with our Small Finance Bank for around a year as a loan officer. We have taken the initiative to help save his life and bring a smile back on the faces of the parents. His parents have had a tough life.

The parents were devastated on hearing the news, and carried out dialysis as prescribed while searching for a kidney donor. The condition of their son is steadily deteriorating and kidney transplant is the only solution for his recovery. His mother was also evaluated for the kidney donation and will be donating her kidney for the transplant. While undergoing these problems, they have been told that the cost of the transplant and post operative medication would be in lacs. Given their limited means, they are trying to find ways to fund the operation and save their only son’s life. If for some reason that the mother cannot be the donor, the cost of the treatment would increase by approximately INR 1L. At this juncture it seems like she is a likely donor.
