ABOUT NO HUNGRY CHILD
The Origin of the organisation
These children by and large try to make an attempt to either steal the food or fetch food from the dustbins. This stealing of food becomes a habit and they grow up to be natural thieves.
Over 7000 children die worldwide every day due to hunger. On visits to places in Bihar and other cities in India, one can even see children trying to catch a Rat and eat it after it is killed and burnt by log fire. It took two years for Sridhar to plan out a model by which he could take care of children who are hungry and feed them.
It is in this background that NO HUNGRY CHILD was started in 2009, by feeding 250 children to begin with and as we started this Nutritious Meal Program, we got good support from the Individual Donors and Corporates who came forward to support our initiative. After a couple of years, I started promoting this program to many other cities and associated with various NGOs and became their guide to commence this Nutritious Meal Program in their respective locations. They operate under the Brand Name - No Hungry Child and feed children every day throughout the year. I guide them on how to implement the program including initial funding support that is required and thereafter enable them to be independent.
