A short time after the lockdown was imposed, the slow down in economic activity has resulted in the loss of livelihood among the ecomically vulnerable. They are struggling to make basic ends meet therefore are unable to spend on protective measures against the pandemic.
Jharkhand accounts for more than 40% of the mineral resources of India, but 39.1% of its population is below the poverty line and 19.6% of children under five years of age are malnourished. The state is primarily rural. Bihar is the third most populous state of India with nearly 89% of it rural. It is also India's most densely populated state, with 1,106 persons per square kilometre. At 11.3%, Bihar has the second-lowest urbanisation rate in India.
That is why we have decided to provide face shields to families in rural Bihar & Jharkhand. This allows them to have basic protection against COVID-19, while they go out for economic reasons.

Our names are TAROON VASWANI & AUM VASWANI.
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all of us in different ways. We are part of the privileged who have a roof over our head and food to eat. However, there is a large group of people who are suffering in different ways – just about managing to meet their basic necessities like food and shelter, they are unable to afford face shields for basic protection.
Having been associated with a charitable society for over 12 years, we would like to start a campaign to raise funds for face shields for the villagers of Bihar and Jharkhand. With your help, we will be able to protect 10,000 villagers and help curb the spread of the virus.
Our aim is to collect Rs.3,00,000 which will help us provide 10,000 face shields for basic protection. These masks have been created by IIT engineers and are doctor approved.
