Akshaya Patra has been aiding the Government’s efforts by providing food relief to vulnerable communities, such as migrant labourers and homeless people. The Foundation is doing this through its network of kitchens and delivery vehicles, working closely with the Government of India, State Governments and other civic administrations across the country. But we still have a long way to go if we are to ensure that every vulnerable community gets the help they need to survive this crisis.
Funds from this campaign will be utilized across Telangana.
The meals are cooked in Akshaya Patra kitchens and the last mile distribution is done by the local authorities- govt and civic body teams. The cost per meal is just INR 25. So if you fund INR 2500 you fund 100 meals. The meals are typically rice and dalma ( dal and vegetables) or Veg khichdi. They also provide a bottle of water with each meal.

ABOUT ME
My name is Nandini Raju. I am 15 years old and a Grade 10 student at Chirec International School.
I believe that during the tough times of COVID-19 we must do our part in ensuring that the underprivileged have a positive impact in their lives and their basic needs are being met. Migrant workers go days without eating and face serious malnutrition. Watching all the pictures of the hardships they are facing and jobs they are losing made me feel an urging need to do my bit to help them.
I got introduced to Akshaya Patra through school and learning about their motive to help the migrant countrymen by cooking them mid-day meals through the money collected by us has resonated joy through me. Being a part of this initiative has thought me the importance of food to every citizen. The fact that just 50000 rupees can provide meals to over 2000 people and the thought of us together doing so much good is empowering. ABOUT AKSHAYA PATRA
The Akshaya Patra Foundation is headquartered in Bengaluru. The organization strives to eliminate classroom hunger by implementing the Mid-Day Meal Scheme in government schools and government-aided schools. Alongside, Akshaya Patra also aims at countering malnutrition and supporting the right to education of socio-economically disadvantaged children.
Since 2000, Akshaya Patra has been concerting all its efforts towards providing fresh and nutritious meals to children on every single school day. And are continuously leveraging technology to multiply our reach. The state-of-the-art kitchens have become a subject of study and have attracted curious visitors from around the world.
Today, Akshaya Patra is the world’s largest (not-for-profit run) Mid-Day Meal Programme serving wholesome food every school day to over 1.8 million children from 19,039 schools across 12 states & 2 Union territories of India.

Will we get to know the details of who benefitted?
Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to AKSHAYA PATRA. We will update you on the details of the beneficiaries as soon as possible. Once we get this information we shall upload a report on the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert & can read details about the beneficiaries.
When do I get the receipts?
The receipts will start getting processed about 4 to 6 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.
