You have the power to feed a starving family, right from the comforts of your home!
The meals are cooked in Akshaya Patra kitchens and the last mile distribution is done by the local authorities- govt and civic body teams. The cost per meal is just INR 25. So if you fund INR 2500 you fund 100 meals. The meals are typically rice and dalma ( dal and vegetables) or Veg khichdi. They also provide a bottle of water with each meal.
Hi, my name is Ria. I'm a student studying in Stage 9 (CIE) of Chirec International School. I like to read and play tennis and write. I want to join this inititiative for a simple reason - to help.
With this horrendous pandemic, we need to stay home and maintain social distancing to protect ourselves and each other. Now, some of us complain about not being able to order our favourite food from outside, and/or not being able to step outside our house. However, there are some people who don't have food or a house (and sometimes both). I feel compelled to help these people.
I want to join this initiative because I have heard many tragedies about the people and their situation. There are stories of people dying of hunger and thirst, and people who have met with accidents as they've tried to reach home. I would like to do something for these people.
We're all in this together, and we should all support each other, and this is why I want to join this initiative - because I want to make a difference to these people, and help them.

Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept & is growing very quickly.
It’s a concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online. Fueladream.com is a crowdfunding platform in India that allows for such pooling of funds. You can fund innovations & ideas on FuelADream and be the first to get these products or make them come true. You can also do a good turn by funding charities and causes through crowdfunding. When you fund a charity it’s more like a donation & you get small innovative rewards like a shout-out on an FB page or a thank you email from the beneficiaries.
Other registered users can send their comments/ queries directly to the campaign owner as a message.
