The Backdrop:
COVID -19 has created a massive challenge for many marginalized families. The NGO - Magic bus has taken the initiative to supply ration kits to such families that would support a family of 5 for two weeks.
Four top golfers and sportsmen have come together to play an exhibition golf game (under strict social distancing norms) to raise awareness and funds for this cause. The initiative is called "Champions for a Cause Charity Golf Match" & is presented by DILIP THOMAS. This stellar group of four includes the team of the former captain of Indian Cricket team, Kapil Dev (who is a great golfer) and Gaganjeet Bhullar, a 9-time Asian Tour winner who will play a challenge match against Shubhankar Sharma, Rookie of the Year on the 2019 European Tour and former Indian Cricket team player, Murali Kartik. This is an 18-holes match play on July 11 at the DGC.
I am doing this crowdfunding campaign to support this initiative and help these families. Funds from this campaign will be utilized all across INDIA. The cities and locations for RATION PACK distribution will be finalised after the campaign is complete.

ABOUT ME
My name is Rishika Muralidhar, I am 14 years old and in Grade 9 at the National Hill View Public School, Bangalore.
My passion for golf & my desire to help people during this COVID-19 pandemic is what inspired me to be a part of this "CHAMPIONS FOR A CAUSE" initiative. Without any source of income due to the COVID-19 crisis, the financially poor families especially the daily wage laborers and migrants are not able to get food or basic hygiene products for their families. They fear starvation more than the virus itself. At this juncture, we, the more privileged sections of the society need to step up to support them in this difficult time.
I request all of you to support my campaign so that we can also contribute to their well-being in our own small little way. Let us together with the help of heroes like Mr. Kapil Dev, Mr. Murali Kartik & the two pro golfers - Gaganjeet Bhullar and Shubhankar Sharma make a bigger difference.

ABOUT MAGIC BUS INDIA FOUNDATION
Magic Bus works with children and young people, living in poverty, in India, taking them from a childhood full of challenges to a life with meaningful livelihoods. We equip children and young people in the age group of 12 to 18 with the skills and knowledge they need to grow up and move out of poverty. Children on the Magic Bus program successfully fend off destabilizers such as child marriage and child labour. They complete their secondary education and go on to become first-generation salary earners having secure careers in the organized sector.
Magic Bus works with lakhs of children, young people and their families across 22 States of India. Our children and their communities are facing a terrible risk, exacerbated by the loss of livelihoods and incomes, lack of awareness about COVID-19, and the inability to undertake and access prevention measures. We urge each of you to support this campaign to help these children and communities PREVENT, PROTECT, and PERSEVERE through this pandemic.

Funding for this campaign is eligible for tax breaks as MAGIC BUS INDIA FOUNDATION is a registered NGO & you can avail of benefits under section 80G of IT act. Foreign funding is accepted.
