THE PROBLEM
There are a lot of students like Vaishnavi, who are pursuing technical degrees and are from economically weaker sections of society. Their parents working as labourers, farmers and other casual forms of employment. The pandemic has rendered many of them unemployed and the course demands many additional resources which add to the cost of education. These resources include laptops with highly technical specifications required to run software and applications to complete projects. This need goes beyond laptops that are just for online classes for the duration of virtual studying and would've been needed pre-pandemic as well. In addition to these students, many others involved in non-professional courses are struggling to cope with academics, without physical resources and online teaching.
THE SOLUTION
The Humane Touch Trust has recognised this urgent need and aims to provide basic laptops that enable attending classes and accessing online resources to these students. To serve these needs, Humane Touch Trust has partnered with Dell who would be offering laptops at competitive pricing close to 60% lesser than the market value.
Humane Touch has identified students whose families are below the poverty line (whose parents are farmers, daily wage labourers etc.) The immediate need is to provide the same laptops to 40 students enrolled in professional courses with each laptop costing Rs. 37500 (incl. distribution costs).

ABOUT THE NGO
HUMANE TOUCH TRUST started as just a group of young women with an urge to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate. Initially Humane Touch adopted the course of rehabilitating the disabled; especially children affected with Polio. As an attempt to help the disabled, Humane Touch sponsored calipers and organised surgeries when needed. This led to other areas which needed a Humane Touch; a caring way of reaching out to the less privileged ones.
The activities of Humane Touch have grown in response to the crying need of the community:

Will we get to know the details of who benefitted?
Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to HUMANE TOUCH TRUST. We will update you on the details of the beneficiaries as soon as possible. Once we get this information we shall upload a report on the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert & can read details about the beneficiaries.
When do I get the receipts?
The receipts will start getting processed about 4 to 6 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.
