We are GirlUp Stonehill. GirlUp Stonehill is a student-led club that consists of high schoolers who actively champion for equality. We stem from the Girl Up initiative by the United Nations Foundation, which advocates for gender equality while liberating and empowering girls around the world. Our theme for this month is “Health” and we are raising funds to provide free, reusable sanitary pads to women in rural communities, where menstruation is considered a taboo.
Women and girls from low-income backgrounds have been facing a massive menstrual hygiene crisis due to the pandemic. The only source of sanitary napkins for most school-going girls was from government schemes that supply them through govt. schools, which remain closed amidst the lockdown. Similarly, minimum wage daily labourers women /migrants workers and those from poor homes are unable to afford sanitary napkins as they suddenly have no or very less income. This leads to them using unhygienic methods like paper, rags, etc and creates health problems.
THE SOLUTION
The solution is to provide reusable sanitary napkins to these underprivileged women & girls. Each kit is unique as it contains 4 reusable sanitary napkins. The napkins will last 2 years, are environment-friendly, easy to store, and most importantly cost-effective. This is being done in partnership with the Inner Wheel Club of Bangalore Blossoms and Rotary Bangalore Indiranagar.
JUST INR 2500 WILL IMPACT 10 GIRLS/WOMEN FOR TWO YEARS. EACH MENSTRUAL HYGIENE PACK COSTS INR 250 INCL DISTRIBUTION COSTS.

INNER WHEEL CLUB OF BANGALORE BLOSSOMS
Inners Wheel is an international women's organisation to create friendship, service and understanding. It has clubs in over 100 countries with over 100,000 members. It was founded in Manchester. Members address real-life problems with practical solutions, as well as render financial help whenever there is a crisis, whether this occurs locally, nationally or internationally, for natural disasters or for people suffering in war-torn regions.
One such club is Inner Wheel Club of Bangalore Blossoms who have just stepped into their 2 years but have been executing projects which are above and beyond the expectations of a new club.
Some of the projects that have been completed by them are:
1. Through their initiative “Green Solution for Red Cycles”, they have distributed 2500 menstrual cups to policewomen and staff & residents of Women & Child Welfare Department, Govt of Karnataka.
2. Installation of Aaga Compost Unit at a park & tree plantation.
3. Mega Health camp & cancer screening camp in a rural area.
4. Sponsoring of fees for students.
5. Contribution towards medical treatment including cleft lip surgery.
6. Contribution & help rendered towards COVID-19 relief.
7. Distribution of cotton reusable masks to 1500 Bangalore City Police.
ABOUT ROTARY BANGALORE INDIRANAGAR
Rotary Bangalore Indiranagar, is a 140 member club, with members from diverse communities and regions. It's engaged in various community service projects which include projects around health, infrastructure, water conservation, education. It's a model Rotary Club and we are very proud of the partners we have and the impact we have made. Some of our initiatives include:

Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to Rotary Bangalore Indiranagar. We will update you on the details of the beneficiaries as soon as possible. When do I get the receipts?
The receipts will start getting processed about 4 to 6 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.
