There is an identified demand for 1000+ Water Wheels in the following areas of Maharashtra.
They are located in the Palghar area of Thane district and are just 2 hours from Mumbai. Many are dominated by tribals. Village wise identified need for the first 600 Water Wheels is as under.
- Darshet – 150 families
- Khadakoli – 100 families
- Karasuda – 100 families
- Virathan Katkaripada - 60 families
- Babarpada – 55 families
- Dhobhadipada – 50 families
- Lalthane – 45 families
- Kirapada – 40 families

The WATER WHEEL is a cylindrical plastic container that can hold up to 45 litres of water. The handles help people to roll it on the ground without the physical strain that occurs while carrying water pots on the head, shoulders or waist.

Rotary Club Bombay Hanging Garden was chartered on 16th May 1986. The Rotary Club of Bombay Central sponsored it. The charity arm of the club Rotary Club of Bombay Central Island Trust was formed in the year 2004 under the umbrella of the Rotary Club of Bombay Hanging Garden.

Funding for this campaign is eligible for tax breaks as Rotary Club of Bombay Central Island Trust is a registered NGO & you can avail of benefits under section 80G of IT act.
FEEDBACK THAT YOU GET
To ensure that there is complete transparency a report will be uploaded by the NGO. The details will then be posted on the UPDATES section of the campaign. The platform will send an EMAIL alert to all the funders as soon as it is posted - i.e. to you.

FAQs
Will we get to know the details of how the money was spent?
Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to Rotary Club Bombay Central Island Trust. It will take from 60 to 120 days after that to get details of who the beneficiary was with details of them.
When do I get the receipts?
It takes up to 2-3 weeks after the campaign is closed for the monies to be transferred to the NGO. The receipts will start getting processed about 6 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.
How does crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept & is growing very quickly.
