ABOUT ME
My name is Snigdha. I am 14 years old and in grade 9th at the EuroSchool, Thane.
Nearly 163 million Indian population of 1.3 billion lack access to clean water close to home. And this issue is faced by Indian women and girls every single day. This is a campaign that will transform the lives of women in rural areas who are troubled with the inconvenient task of walking long distances to get water. Indian women take up to five trips daily to gather and transport water with the average time being up to 4 hours. These walks in rural areas can be about 10 km a day, carrying almost 15 litres every trip. The task is time-consuming and can lead to back and neck aches This gender-specific role has a huge impact on their health, social life, and also education. This task does consume almost their full day and instead, it could be used to do something more productive and generate income.
In fact, many girls in the rural areas drop out of school, so they can help carry out the burden of moving water.
A simple yet revolutionary innovation knows as the water wheel, made of human-safe polyethylene reduces strain on a female, guarantees time-saving, provides the family or more importantly the women to take up jobs and help socio-economically. It enables a child to go to school and complete her education instead of staying at home and doing chores.
"Every journey begins with a single step along with the desire to achieve it."
Thank you :)

How does crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept & is growing very quickly.
It’s a concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online. Fueladream.com is a crowdfunding platform in India that allows for such pooling of funds. You can fund innovations & ideas on FuelADream and be the first to get these products or make them come true. You can also do a good turn by funding charities and causes through crowdfunding. When you fund a charity it’s more like a donation & you get small innovative rewards like a shout-out on an FB page or a thank you email from the beneficiaries.
