ABOUT ME
My name is Trisha. I am 14 years old and in grade 9 at EuroSchool, Thane.
This is a campaign that I am leading to help change the lives of women in rural areas. These women are burdened by the task of walking kilometres and kilometres to get water from far-away areas. This often leads to health problems such as neck and back aches. In addition to this, these women end up wasting most of their day on this chore and hence are unable to do something productive and remain unemployed.
Thus, to help these women and girls, I have taken up this initiative of distributing water wheels to women in talukas wherein water shortage is a major issue. The most efficient solution for this is the water wheel, which consists of a tank to be filled with water and rolled along, thereby making the work easier and less time-consuming. Moreover, it helps bring about gender equality in these areas as men also come forward to do this daily chore. This leads to an overall increase in the family income as women take up jobs and girls go to school.
Please support my campaign in order to help these women have an improved life and to bring a smile to their faces. The water wheels will be distributed by the team from the Rotary Club of Hanging Gardens with their local partners. The cost of doing this (including identifying the women, the cost of the water wheel, the actual distribution) is only INR 2500 per water wheel making it truly a revolutionary idea.

FEATURES & SPECS
The WATER WHEEL is a cylindrical plastic container that can hold up to 45 litres of water. The handles help people to roll it on the ground without the physical strain that occurs while carrying water pots on the head, shoulders or waist.

FEEDBACK THAT YOU GET
To ensure that there is complete transparency I shall get a report from Rotary Club of Bombay Hanging Garden telling me who benefitted from the funding. The details will then be posted on the UPDATES section of my campaign. As soon as I post an update, the platform will send an EMAIL alert to all the funders - i.e. to you. That's transparent right.

FAQs
Will we get to know the details of how the money was spent?
Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to Rotary Club Bombay Hanging Garden. It will take from 60 to 120 days after that to get details of who the beneficiary was with details of them. Once I get this information from them I shall upload the picture of the beneficiary on the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert & can read details about the beneficiaries.
When do I get the receipts?
It takes up to 2-3 weeks after the campaign is closed for the monies to be transferred to the NGO. The receipts will start getting processed about 6 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.
How does crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept & is growing very quickly.
It’s a concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online.
