CASE STUDY : LITTLE ANUJ
ABOUT ME & THIS CAMPAIGN:
Hi , my name is Daniel Melwani , studying in Bombay Scottish school . Im 14 years old in the 10th Grade . I recently came to know about crowdfunding and its great and inspiring goal and initiative and how we as the people can save children suffering from heart failures and diseases for a economical amount . I believe me and my classmates can impact and save these children for a small amount and actually change the persons life . I find my interests in soccer , table tennis and a big fan of technology and computers . Technology always helped me in every possible way and its an amusing device .Every day we read a disturbing article on the news about a poor child dying but many of us only complain and do not take further step . I believe with the help of Crowd Funding and a small donation , we can impact the childs life and actually make a difference at such a low cost . Doing this we would save multiple lifes and the child would be educated and playing joyfully. Further, I believe that healthcare is a basic necessity that should be available to everyone irrespective of their financial condition . Please spread the word as something as little as this will impact a child . Thank you .
Pic : This is me . Let us bring a smile to little kids with heart ailments & save their life.

HOW YOU CAN HELP?
We are raising this money to cover the costs of the surgery for a child & the smallest contribution you make will help save their lives. The funds from this campaign will be transferred to B J Wadia hospital. Once the campaign ends, I will post an update to keep the funders (i.e YOU) abreast of which child received the surgery with details about the child, the parents and the medical procedure. If i reach my goal of INR 25000 , I shall continue this campaign so that i can collect more funds & save the lives of more children.
TAX BENEFITS:
Funding to this campaign is eligible for tax breaks as the hospital is a registered trust & you can avail of benefits under section 80G of the IT act. Foreign funding is also accepted.
FEEDBACK THAT YOU GET
To ensure that there is complete transparency I shall get a report from the hospital ( this takes between 1 to 2 months usually after the funds are raised & transferred to them) telling me who benefitted from the funding. The details will then be posted on the UPDATES section of my campaign and will be in a format like the one below. As soon as I post an update, the platform will send a SMS and EMAIL alert to all the funders - i.e to you. Click on the link on the email and you can read about which child benefitted. That's transparent right.
The below info is an example of the FEEDBACK FORMAT that we will be shared with all my funders.
FAQs
Will we get to know details of the child who benefitted?
Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to B J Wadia charitable hospital. It will take from 30-60 days after that to get details of who the beneficiary child was with details of her parents , her picture etc. Once I get this information from the team at B J Wadia hospital, I shall upload this on the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert & can read details about the beneficiary.
What are the crowdfunding charges?
Fueladream charges 2% for the payment for the payment gateway and 10% as crowdfunding charges. With GST the total comes to 14.16%. Nett off all these fees - you still get to save the life of a child. There is also an initial fee of 3000 INR which is being waived for us.
When do I get the receipts?
It takes a week after the campaign is closed for the monies to be transferred. The receipts will start getting processed about 2 to 3 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly .
How does crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept & is growing very quickly.
It’s s concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an Idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online. Fueladream is a crowdfunding site and platform in India that allows for such a pooling of funds.
You can fund innovations & ideas on FuelADream and be the first to get these products or make them come true. You can also do a good turn by funding charities and causes through crowdfunding. When you fund a charity it’s more like a donation & you get small innovative rewards like a shout-out on a FB page or a thank you email from the beneficiaries.
