HEALTHCARE WORKERS, NURSES IN PARTICULAR TIRELESSLY WORK 12-HOUR+ SHIFTS EVERY DAY.
Healthcare workers have been working continuously since the onset of the pandemic. The second wave of COVID-19 has put a massive strain on hospitals and consequently on NURSES. There is a sense of alarm regarding burnout among healthcare professionals across India. In order for the healthcare workers to do their job, they need to be mentally and physically able to.
Healthcare professionals are leading the fight against this pandemic in every possible way by leaving their families at home. It is critical that we, as citizens, should ensure that the ones who are saving us, are safe in the first place.
We, at the Rotary Club of Bombay Bayview have taken it upon ourselves to support these nurses in every way possible. We aim to raise INR 45L to provide 5000 Wellness kits which will help fight their fatigue and give them the much-needed nutrition that they have been foregoing. This will impact 5000 nurses. The kit contains a hot flask and assorted dry fruits. The flask can be used to carry warm water or immunity drinks, to sip on and keep the germs away. The dry fruits are loaded with vitamins and proteins and will help in boosting energy and immunity.
We are a 19 year old club.
Rotary Club of Bombay Bayview (RCBB) was chartered on 1st May 2002. Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept & is growing very quickly. It’s a concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online. Fueladream.com is a crowdfunding platform in India that allows for such pooling of funds. You can fund innovations & ideas on FuelADream and be the first to get these products or make them come true. You can also do a good turn by funding charities and causes. When you fund a charity it’s more like a donation & you get small innovative rewards like a shout-out on an FB page or a thank you email from the beneficiaries.
