THE BACKGROUND
The second COVID wave has had a devastating impact on the finances of millions of families who make their living on a daily basis. They are unable to earn, out of money and desperately need food. Rations for a month is the need of the hour and that is what we aim to give through The UP Food Bank based in Lucknow. Food is the most basic requirement for all of us. Getting a square meal should not be a reason for distress for any individual. At Ehsaas (we are a Lucknow based NGO) we strongly believe that each city should have one or many food banks that ensure no one needs to beg on the streets for food.
- Funding INR 3000, will help 5 families for a month
- Funding INR 6000, will help 10 families for a month.
- Funding INR 12000, will help 20 families for a month.

ABOUT ME
My name is Amya Jain.
I am running this crowdfunding campaign to help anyone who has been impacted severely by the second wave of COVID. We are all in it together while dealing with such unprecedented times. It is hard to imagine the plight of families who are unable to get even 2 square meals a day. We must be grateful that we have a roof over our heads, food on the table and a comfortable safe place. This is not the case for these people who earn their bread daily and do not have any money for food. Rations are a simple and effective way of giving them access to food and will also eliminate their uncertainty of making ends meet on a day-to-day basis for those impacted and their families. This will help them overcome the trauma of the second wave.
It costs just INR 20 to feed a family per day. So just INR 600 will support them for a month.
We, the more privileged sections of society need to step up to support them. I request all of you to support my campaign so that we can also contribute to their well-being in our own small little way. Let's come together and do our bit to help our fellow countrymen.

ABOUT EHSAAS FOUNDATION
Ehsaas Foundation Is A Non-Government Organization, established In 2003 with an idea to bring positive changes in health, education, economic and social status of underprivileged section of the society. The Foundation’s vision is to provide primary support and platform to individual and the community for their sustainable progress and empowerment to lead a life with dignity and respect.
We as an organization, comprised of spirited youths, academicians and social activists recognize that bringing changes in health status, educational status, social norms, and economical status is a gradual process and require a concerted and sustained effort along with repeated exposure to alternative ideas. ABOUT THE FOOD BANK
The Food Bank works to eliminate hunger as the cause of lack of protection and education amongst children in Uttar Pradesh and to serve the most marginalized sections of the society by making food accessible to them so that they can realize other goals of healthy living, education and safety.
The food bank is the support system for those families that struggle every day to make ends meet yet at the end of the day the food that they eat does not provide them with the essential nutrition. The Food Bank works with communities' to identify such families and support them partially so that they can lead a healthy life and invest in their upliftment. The Food Bank empowers by providing support in a crisis, linking them with government programs and schemes.
TAX BENEFITS
Funding for this campaign is eligible for tax breaks as EHSAAS is a registered NGO & you can avail of benefits under section 80G of the IT act. Foreign funding is NOT accepted.
FEEDBACK THAT YOU GET
To ensure that there is complete transparency a report from EHSAAS ( this takes between 1 to 2 months usually after the funds are raised & transferred) about who benefitted from the funding will be updated. The details will then be posted on the UPDATES section of my campaign and will be in a format like the one below. As soon as the update is posted, the platform will send an EMAIL alert to all the funders - i.e to you. Click on the link on the email and you can read about which child benefitted. That's transparent right?
FAQs
Will we get to know the details of who benefitted?
Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to EHSAAS FOUNDATION. We will update you on the details of the beneficiaries as soon as possible. Once we get this information we shall upload a report on the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert & can read details about the beneficiaries.
When do I get the receipts?
The receipts will start getting processed about 4 to 6 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.
How does crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept & is growing very quickly.
It’s a concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online.
