THE BACKGROUND
This is Simhadri Prasad. He has been diabetic since the age of 13, due to complications related to this, he had to undergo dialysis for 3 years. In 2019, he had to undergo a kidney transplant. But soon after the surgery, he developed gangrene which meant both his feet and left palm had to be amputated.
Apart from the physical and emotional turmoil, Prasad and his family are in a massive financial crisis. His treatments have accrued to a whopping INR 9L. They have managed to pay off INR 2 lakhs and now are in debt of INR 7 lakhs.
THE SOLUTION
My classmates and I want to help Mr. Prasad at a time when he needs it the most and help him pay off his medical loans. We got to know about his dire condition via our teacher Shalini ma'am, and we decided to do something about it.
Since Mr. Prasad has no job currently and they have no other source of income, any funds raised beyond INR 7L will be used for his medical expenses and daily needs.
ABOUT ME AND THIS CAMPAIGN
My name is KHUSHI AGARWAL. I am a student at Oakridge Intl School, Hyderabad.
We are a group of students who have come together to help alleviate the sufferings of Mr Prasad and his family. It was shocking to hear about the trials he had to go through at such a young age. Despite all his adversity, Mr Prasad is said to be a positive figure who is always in good spirits. We want to help them in whatever way we can so that there is one less thing they have to worry about.
Through this campaign, we want to help him pay off his medical bills/loans and help ease his troubles.
