THE BACKGROUND :
THERE IS A HUGE NEED FOR OXYGEN CONCENTRATORS AND BiPAP MACHINES TO HELP UNDERPRIVILEGED PATIENTS WHO GO TO SMALL CLINICS.
Small clinics and old age homes do not have access to critical medical equipment to fight COVID-19. This is causing a crisis situation. Rural India is facing an onslaught of Covid-19. Marginalised Communities such as Shelter homes for the aged, differently-abled and physically challenged are the most affected as the clinics/ old age homes do not have critical life-saving equipment.
THE SOLUTION :
We, the students of Hill Spring International School are coming together to help provide Oxygen concentrators and BiPAP machines to small clinics and old age homes.
This will help underprivileged patients get access to quality healthcare. Each of us have goals of INR 50,000. There is a need for 200 BIPAP machines and 75 Oxygen concentrators worth INR 2 crores.
So please continue funding my campaign even if it gets past its goal as we want to ideally raise INR 2 crore in total.
The funds would be used for:
PURPOSE 1 : PROVIDING OXYGEN CONCENTRATORS (10 Litres)
These are easy-to-use devices that can be used to generate oxygen, are mobile, and will save the lives of critical patients and all those with low oxygen levels. An Oxygen Concentrator takes in air and removes nitrogen from it, leaving an oxygen-enriched gas for use by people requiring medical oxygen due to low oxygen levels in their blood. Each 10litre device costs just INR 1,00,000 + 12% GST = INR 1,12,000 and will help save many lives.
The 10-litre device costs INR 1,00,000 + 12% GST = INR 1,12,000.
(This price is indicative. Devices would be purchased as per availability and prices on the date of purchase).
PURPOSE 2 : PROVIDING BiPAP MACHINES
A BiPAP machine helps push air into the lungs. The patient wears a mask or nasal plugs that are connected to the ventilator. The machine supplies pressurized air into the airways. It is called positive pressure ventilation because the device helps open the lungs with this air pressure. Each device costs just INR 60,000 + 12% GST = INR 67,000 and will help save many lives.
BRAND: BMC
MODEL: Y30
Each device costs INR 60,000 + 12% GST = INR 67,000.
(This price is indicative. The devices would be purchased as per availability and prices on the date of purchase).
ABOUT ME
My name is Kiara Wassoodew. I am 18 years old and in Grade 12 at the Hill Spring International School.
I am running this crowdfunding campaign to give life-saving Oxygen concentrators and BiPAP machines to small clinics and old age homes across Maharashtra.
The second wave of the pandemic has put a massive strain on the hospital infrastructure. Underprivileged patients are the most affected. There is a massive need for oxygen and this is creating a nightmare for underprivileged patients and small clinics.
Giving critical medical equipment such as Oxygen Concentrators and BiPAP machines will help provide quality treatment to them. These will help save the lives of critical patients and all those with low oxygen levels.
Please support my campaign and together let's save lives.

How does crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept & is growing very quickly.
It’s a concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online. Fueladream.com is a crowdfunding platform in India that allows for such pooling of funds. You can fund innovations & ideas on FuelADream and be the first to get these products or make them come true. You can also do a good turn by funding charities and causes through crowdfunding. When you fund a charity it’s more like a donation & you get small innovative rewards like a shout-out on an FB page or a thank you email from the beneficiaries.
