THE BACKGROUND
As we live and practice social distancing, stocking rations, isolating our worlds, and adopting a work-from-home culture, there is a part of our society that still has no food for the next meal, no roof over their heads, no work. The COVID-19 crisis continues to disproportionately hurt millions of urban poor living in slums across major cities in India.
Thousands of daily wage labourers are impacted because of COVID-19. While the government will provide some of them with relief packages we need to understand that the task is massive. Many are not registered, are migrant labour and need our help to survive this crisis.
Just INR 4500 impacts 3 families.
Just INR 7500 impacts 5 families.
Just INR 15000 impacts 10 families.
Funds from this campaign will be utilized across Chandigarh. This campaign is being done under the banner of StudentWorks and in partnership with the NGO - ResponseNet.
All funding has 80G benefits.
THE RATION KIT
ABOUT ME
My name is SHAURYA JAIN. I am 17 years old and in Grade 12.
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all of us in different ways. Perhaps the hardest hit is the daily wage earners, migrant labour and the financially poor. Suddenly they are without any source of income, and they are not able to provide food or basic hygiene facilities to their families. They fear starvation more than the virus itself. At this juncture, we, the more privileged sections of society need to step up to support them in this difficult time.
I request all of you to support my campaign so that we can also contribute to their well-being in our own small little way. Let's come together and do our bit to help our fellow countrymen.

How does crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept & is growing very quickly.
It’s a concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online. Fueladream.com is a crowdfunding platform in India that allows for such pooling of funds. You can fund innovations & ideas on FuelADream and be the first to get these products or make them come true. You can also do a good turn by funding charities and causes through crowdfunding. When you fund a charity it’s more like a donation & you get small innovative rewards like a shout-out on an FB page or a thank you email from the beneficiaries.
