THE INITIATIVE
Hot food delivered to the homes of poor families is the best solution.
Concerned citizens and members of the Rotary Club of Mumbai Brave Hearts are coming together to help the underprivileged in times like this. The initiative aims to fight hunger and is done in partnership with the non profits IDF and ISKCON. The food that is prepared is delivered DAILY to low-income homes in a slum called AMBUJWADI in Malad West, Mumbai by the volunteers of Rotary Club of Mumbai Brave Hearts and IDF, who go to each house and deliver the food.
This will ensure that no one remains hungry due to the lockdown/restrictions.
Each meal costs just INR 25. Fund INR 5000 for example and 200 hungry stomachs will benefit.
The funds collected from this campaign will go to the non-profit IDF. All funding has 80G tax benefits.
Fund generously as me and other colleagues from the Rotary Brave Hearts club want to raise over INR 60 Lakhs through this initiative to deliver 30000 meals a day over the next 90-days.
A GLIMPSE OF THE DISTRIBUTION
ISKCON has been delivering food to these homes since the first lockdown in 2020. Here are images of the food being delivered.
ABOUT ME & THIS CAMPAIGN
My name is Shweta Chaudhary. I am a member of the Rotary Club of Mumbai Brave Hearts.
As India continues to battle the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic sweeping the country, it has ravaged the vulnerable low-income communities that have not yet recovered from the first time. Their lives have been turned upside down and their trauma is not subsiding. Their sources of income are dwindling, and even something as basic as food is a nightmare for them yet again.
Through this initiative, we aim to help to serve KHICHDI to underprivileged families. This initiative is one-of-a-kind as it is the only one to HOME DELIVER meals to the beneficiaries. My campaign aims to help as many of them as possible. I request all of you to support my campaign so that we can ensure that no one stays hungry. The funds collected from this crowdfunding campaign would transform their lives and bring them much needed relief.
Let's come together and do our bit.

ABOUT ROTARY CLUB OF MUMBAI BRAVE HEARTS
The freshly minted Rotary Club of Mumbai BraveHearts (RCMBH) is an association of eclectic individuals. Chartered on July 2, 2020, the members of RCMBH genuinely believe in having the courage to follow their collective beliefs. Ergo, they indeed are 'Bravehearts'.
Following the legacy of the Rotary District 3141, our members come from all walks of life. We might be new, but our goals stem from the Rotarian ethos of humanitarian service to build goodwill and peace. Some of our flagship projects, like pediatric heart surgeries, affordable housing, prevention of sexual harassment and auditory-verbal approach, have already been well received.
Fuelled by the success of the Rotarian pathway, RCMBH is proud to launch 'Pride'. It is an initiative to help underprivileged women and girls with menstrual hygiene by providing them with reusable sanitary pads. We want to empower them by focussing on their well-being with dignity. We believe that every little step will help change the narrative for the better.

How does crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept & is growing very quickly.
It’s a concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online. Fueladream.com is a crowdfunding platform in India that allows for such pooling of funds. You can fund innovations & ideas on FuelADream and be the first to get these products or make them come true. You can also do a good turn by funding charities and causes through crowdfunding. When you fund a charity it’s more like a donation & you get small innovative rewards like a shout-out on an FB page or a thank you email from the beneficiaries.
