THE BACKGROUND

With the rampant spread of COVID-19 across the country, regional lockdowns are once again being put in place. These lockdowns are putting socio-economically disadvantaged people, who have barely recovered since the last lockdown,  at risk once again.

Since the beginning of the lockdown in March 2020, Akshaya Patra has used its kitchens and vehicles, to cook and distribute hot, nutritious meals to migrant workers and people from low-income homes. By April 30, 2021, the Foundation had served over 12.4 Crore Cooked Meals to people in need.

This initiative will feed those impacted by COVID in NCR and UP. Each meal costs just INR 22.

1)Fund 2200 and 100 meals are served.
2)Fund 4400 and bring joy 200 times.
3)Fund 6600 and help serve 300 meals.

ABOUT ME & THIS CAMPAIGN

My name is Saanvi Singh. I am 15 years old and in Grade 11 at DPS Greater Noida.

As India continues to battle the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic sweeping the country, it has ravaged the vulnerable low-income communities that have not yet recovered from the first time. Their lives have been turned upside down and their trauma is not subsiding. Their sources of income are dwindling, and even something as basic as food is a nightmare for them yet again.

I learnt about this initiative being done by Akshaya Patra in NCR and UP where they are currently distributing meals every day. My campaign aims to help as many of them as possible. I request all of you to support my campaign so that we can feed them and possibly feed many more. The funds collected from this crowdfunding campaign would transform their lives and bring them much needed relief.

Let's come together and do our bit.

How does crowdfunding work?

Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept & is growing very quickly.

It’s a concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online. Fueladream.com is a crowdfunding platform in India that allows for such pooling of funds. You can fund innovations & ideas on FuelADream and be the first to get these products or make them come true. You can also do a good turn by funding charities and causes through crowdfunding. When you fund a charity it’s more like a donation & you get small innovative rewards like a shout-out on an FB page or a thank you email from the beneficiaries.

Updates have been committed to after the campaign ends.
