This initiative is a campaign by me and my fellow students at Chirec to raise funds to provide quality education to children in need. All the funds collected from this initiative will go to Abhyasa Vidyalayam which is a school run by the Deepa Memorial Trust located in Vijayawada. The trust is a non-profit and any funding has tax benefits. They currently provide education to around 250 students of which about 40% students are from economically challenged families. They have classes from Lower KG to the 10th grade.
The objective is to raise funds for these needy children and transform their lives.
Most private schools are too expensive for the common people to access while most non-profit schools don’t provide quality education. This is where Abhyasa Vidyalayam stands out. They believe that education is a fundamental right of every child, and academic institutions must owe to provide good quality education in real spirit.The curriculum and the methodology are directed by the principle that the child should experience the joy of learning. And the program is absolutely stress-free. The school is making a big impact on the lives of its students and the results are there for all to see, the alumni are now attending reputed universities and doing very well.
The school is struggling to run. The students who can afford pay, others pay partially and about 40% of them are unable to pay anything at all. For INR 20,000 we can sponsor a needy student for one year.

Abhyasa Vidyalayam has a very unique teaching model. We use less books, less homework, encourage discovery & creativity to teach children. This leads to students who are more self-aware of their strengths and likes. These children then become better people and better citizens.

ABOUT ME AND THIS CAMPAIGN:
Hey! This is Arya Amritansu of 12th grade from CHIREC International School in Hyderabad. To put me in a nutshell, I’d be the liveliest person you’d find at a party, although my friends will tell you otherwise. I suggest you ignore them. I love to sketch, read, and write amongst several other things!
I was introduced to the concept of my campaign at a programme hosted at my school where we met representatives from Fueladream.com, who informed us about crowdfunding and how it can be used to help destitute students who were unable to fund their education at a school called the Abhyasa Vidhyalayam.
I was riveted by the idea of crowdfunding. I also realized that helping a needy child with education is all about giving them a future. This helps them grow into individuals who can change the economic conditions of their family and emerge from the shackles of poverty which have restrained several generations. Education is what will help them break these shackles and end the cycle of poverty.
I have always wanted to make a change in this world, and this campaign has provided an opportunity for me to do so. The fact that a mere amount Rs. 20,000 can make such a colossal impact upon someone’s life convinced me to help. Changing the entire world is not easy, but trying to help someone is one step forward.

THE PARTNER:
The funds from this campaign go Deepa Memorial Charitable Trust. They run the Abhyasa Vidyalayam school. The Deepa Memorial Charitable Trust, recognized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh (until X standard) was established in 1995. SCERT syllabus is taught in classes VI standard onwards.
All the receipts and 80G tax benefits that you get will be sent to you directly from them as they are a registered charitable trust.
HOW YOU CAN HELP & HOW FUNDS WILL BE USED
We are raising money to cover the cost of education of a needy child & the smallest amount you contribute will help educate them for a year. Once the campaign ends we will post an update to keep you the funders abreast of the beneficiaries of the donations and which child was funded.
TAX BENEFITS:
By funding this campaign, you are eligible for tax breaks as ABHYASA VIDYALAYAM is a registered TRUST & you can avail benefits under section 80G of the IT act. This means your funding gets tax benefits.

Will we get to know details of the those who benefitted?
Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to DEEPA MEMORIAL TRUST. It will take from 30 to 90 days after that to get details of who the beneficiary was with details of them. Once I get this information from the team at the NGO, we shall upload this on the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert & can read details about the beneficiaries.
When do I get the receipts?
It takes upto 2-3 weeks after the campaign is closed for the monies to be transferred to the NGO The receipts will start getting processed about 4 to 6 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.
How does crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept & is growing very quickly.
It’s a concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an Idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online.
