As we live and practice social distancing, stocking rations, isolating our worlds, and adopting a work-from-home culture, there is a part of our society that still has no food for the next meal, no roof over their heads, no work. The COVID-19 crisis continues to disproportionately hurt millions of urban poor living in slums across major cities in India.
Thousands of daily wage labourers are impacted because of COVID-19. While the government will provide some of them with relief packages we need to understand that the task is massive. Many are not registered, are migrant labour, and need our help to survive this crisis.
Recognizing this need, Mahavir International has been providing cooked meals to migrant labourers and their families. Most of them are not earning and so, do not have the ability to get a medical checkup. The NGO is providing them with a free medical checkup, medicines (mainly vitamins for deficiencies identified during the checkup), and a cooked meal. This will take place once every week in 5 of their shelters located across Delhi.
Funding INR 6000, will help 40 people.
Funding INR 15000, will help 100 people.
Funding INR 30000, will help 200 people.
This campaign is being done in partnership with MAHAVIR INTERNATIONAL. All funding has 80G benefits.

ABOUT US
We are 5 students studying in The Shri Ram School, Moulsari trying to make a change in society by raising awareness and helping daily wage labourers in and around Delhi by providing them with food, medical checkups, and medicines.
A few days ago 5 of us, Aaditya Sankhwal, Arjun Narasimhan, Avya Maini, Nav Agarwal and Vivaan Baig, were thinking about the real heroes who help us in our day-to-day life. That’s when it hit us, that those people are the migrant workers. We could notice that many people don’t understand the value of migrant workers in our lives, so that’s why we came up with ‘Migrant Workers Matter’. This project’s main aim is to spread awareness about the importance of migrant workers so that more people treat them fairly and understand that without these ‘shining stars’ we wouldn’t succeed in life.

How does crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept and is growing very quickly.
It’s a concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online. Fueladream.com is a crowdfunding platform in India that allows for such pooling of funds. You can fund innovations and ideas on FuelADream and be the first to get these products or make them come true. You can also do a good turn by funding charities and causes through crowdfunding. When you fund a charity it’s more like a donation and you get small innovative rewards like a shout-out on an FB page or a thank you email from the beneficiaries.
