We are Anusha Ramasubramoney and Pushkar Srivatsal. We are Mumbai based and Second Sight is our independent band. It has been our dream to release our own album. We managed to release what we hoped would be the first single off the album, One, in December 2019, and our plan was to continue releasing a few singles, and finally release the entire album in the second half of 2020.
This is when the pandemic struck and the entertainment industry took a huge hit. Live shows stopped and have not resumed for independent artists like us. We had some money saved, so we began working on the other songs from August 2020. We managed to release 3 more singles last year by taking on recording, production and mixing duties on ourselves as we couldn’t afford to hire anyone to do it. We have now completely depleted our resources and need your help in completing this album.

We’ve been around since 2015 and we put out our debut EP, The Violet Hour, in 2018. Our music ranges from folksy acoustic songs to groove centric, jazz harmony inspired alternative R&B, with influences from across the world. What unites these worlds together is our vocal harmony driven arrangements and rich lyricism.

Hi! We are Anusha Ramasubramoney and Pushkar Srivatsal and Second Sight is our sonically kaleidoscopic, lyrically rich brainchild. Reflecting the influence of alternative soul, RnB, latin jazz, and acoustic folk, Second Sight's sound takes different forms - it ranges from sparse and poetic, to heavily groove centric, and is fiercely driven by storytelling.
We aim to release the album by the first week of November 2021. While the fundraiser is active, we will still be working on the production side of things so that we can do the final recordings in the studio once the money comes through.

We're finally doing an album launch gig (ONLINE!) for Coral this Thursday, 16th of December, 2021, 9pm onwards!! We have decided to keep this as a live streamed performance so that all of you who have made this album possible are able to join in :) We will be playing the entire album live, with a 9-piece ensemble, and we've been practising hard so that we are able to deliver a great performance for y'all. The gig will be streamed from The Circuit, which is known for it's state of the art live streaming setup, here in Mumbai, so that the audio visual experience is not compromised, and we will also be able to interact with ya'll via the chat. We're really excited to play for ya'll so do join in if you can, and do pass on the word :)

Hello!! Firstly, thank you SO MUCH for funding our campaign so generously and so quickly! We exceeded our target in 2 days, and we're so pumped now to finish off the album and send it out to all of you!
Update on the album: Thanks to your contribution, we were able to wrap up some recordings that were pending, and we're now in the final stages of production/mixing for the last 3 songs. We've also managed to get a couple of amazing collaborators on board, and we're also planning to add some bonus material in the album because we're in a position to do so now :)
Update on the rewards: We've already started working towards sending out everyone's rewards, and you should receive all the rewards that you're eligible for by the first week of November!
