I am raising INR 20000 to fund the treatment and education of a special child for 4 months thus helping them to lead an inclusive life.
ABOUT ME AND THE CAMPAIGN
Hi, I am Pranjal Rastogi. I study in the 9th grade at Deens Academy, Bengaluru. I have always been someone who’s wanted to help the people around me. My passions include: reading, writing, movies and gaming.
Let me tell you more about this campaign of mine. A few days ago, our school had a program where the team from Fueladream.com told us about how crowdfunding works and how we can use that to make life better for others by raising funds. The fact that a contribution of just Rs 5000 can make a difference to the life of someone who is suffering from mental disability, made me realise that I must do something to help others I strongly believe that we can help those who are needy and in the process, transform their lives.
We see people with mental disabilities all around and mostly express pity on the their state without realising that they have potential too. I was introduced to how the team at Sambhav Foundation is working and training these people so that they can cope with day-to-day activities and bring them into mainstream life.
I have been inspired by this fact and will work for the needy. I need all your support to work for them.
CASE STUDY
ABOUT PROJECT SAADHYA
Project Saadhya, an initiative of Sambhav Foundation, is aimed at enabling children with mental disabilities lead a sustainable life through education and skill development. By addressing the problems of children from vulnerable background and socially marginalised sections, this self-enrichment program strives to empower them by developing coping skills for survival.
Through early intervention (for children aged 0 - 6 years) and special education programs (6+ years) for those children identified as having delayed development and growth progress, special educators at Sambhav endeavour to train them to cope up with day-to-day activities and bring them into mainstream life. Teaching methods are varied and focused on the disability the child is diagnosed with. Sensory therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, Computer training, Bio-medical interventions help the children develop cognitive skills and open doors for them to learn vocational skills that can empower them to work and earn a decent livelihood. Vocational training in handicrafts, tailoring, phenyl and soap oil making, chocolate making, candle making, etc. is presently underway for inculcating life skills among these children.

With Saadhya, Sambhav creates an inclusive life for each child it supports through vision and valued roles and help him or her live in the society with dignity. Training and guidance is also provided to the parents and caregivers for them to cope up with the demands of supporting a disabled child.
Today, Sambhav caters to 80 individuals aged 5 – 25 years through Project Saadhya. These individuals are inflicted by medical conditions like Down’s syndrome, Dyslexia, Psycho motor disorder, Microcephaly, Epilepsy, Speech and language disorder, ADHD, Autism, to name a few.
Sambhav hopes to take the program to the next level and bring more and more children like Adithya into its fold by raising funds for the program.
INR 6000 is spent on each child per month under Project Saadhya which includes education, speech therapy, nutrition and vocational training. While INR 1000 is contributed by the parent, INR 5000 is funded by individual or corporate donors.
There are certain disadvantaged children whose parents are incapable of sponsoring their children’s education and therapy. Under such circumstances, the child is totally dependent on funds from donors.

FAQs
What are the crowdfunding charges?
Fueladream charges 2% for the payment for the payment gateway and 10% as crowdfunding charges. With GST the total comes to 14.16%. There is also an initial fee of 3000 INR which is being waived for us.
How does crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept & is growing very quickly.
It’s a concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an Idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online. Fueladream is a crowdfunding site and platform in India that allows for such a pooling of funds.
You can fund innovations & ideas on FuelADream and be the first to get these products or make them come true. You can also do a good turn by funding charities and causes through crowdfunding. When you fund a charity it’s more like a donation & you get small innovative rewards like a shout-out on a FB page or a thank you email from the beneficiaries.
When do I get the receipts?
It takes 2-3 weeks after the campaign is closed for the monies to be transferred to SAMBHAV FOUNDATION. The receipts will start getting processed about 4 to 6 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.
Will we get to know details of the PEOPLE who benefitted?
Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to the SAMBHAV FOUNDATION. It will take from 30 to 90 days after that to get details of who the beneficiary was with details of them. Once I get this information from the team at SAMBHAV FOUNDATION. I shall upload this in the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an email and SMS link to read details about the beneficiaries.
