The pandemic has severely impacted the education of girls from low-income homes. Since schools are closed, education has come to a standstill for many of them. This has lead to the girls falling prey to child labour, early marriage and domestic violence. Many girls are forced to dropout and support their families financially by going for work.
THE SOLUTION
The UDBHAV SCHOOL in Hyderabad is a very unique school that provides high quality ENGLISH MEDIUM education to students mainly from the slums of Hyderabad. Majority of the students are girls. Supporting a girl impacts not just her but her family for generations. The school is proudly managed by the IIM(A) Alumni Association (Hyderabad Chapter). Just INR 28000 will help educate them for a year and includes the cost of school, uniforms, books, mid-day meals etc.
The school also focuses on educating more girls, bring smiles to their faces and allow them to grow up as women who become independent, and bring about social change in their families for generations to come.
My classmates and I, from the Chirec International School are doing this initiative to fund the education of girls at this school.
The Udbhav School in Hyderabad is run and managed by the IIMAAA CHARITABLE TRUST. It helps educate girls in large numbers. The objective is also to change their mindset so they are more ambitious and strive harder.

My name is Siri. I am 14 years old and in Grade 9, Chirec International School.
I am an only child. A female, child. Just as many of you are too. In the past few years, I've thrived to prove my point on females being equal to males and societies' take on it. There is a lot of stereotypes involving males and females. That females don't need education, that females should rather do labor and or household work or that males, are the only ones who can uphold, a house. That males are the heirs, females aren't strong, and many more. In the past few years, we as a society have slowly been coming out of those. I am fortunate enough to be getting educated, to be able to stand up for something I believe in. Thus,I have decided to be a part of this campaign to assist a fellow female, trying to prove herself, in her own life.
When I first heard about this campaign and about these wonderful schools, UDBHAV School in Hyderabad, supported by the IIM Ahemedabad, providing high quality education with modern facilities including science and computer labs. I was surprised and I finally found something I, as a student, can do for supporting my thoughts and motives.
Especially with the recent pandemic, the power to actually empower a girl for her education, who is economically backward or whose education is being cast off due to whatever reason, an aimless person with no more hope, no more learning scope, no more hope of manifesting herself, is truly heartwarming for me. A random girl, whose education is close to being abandoned, could just be a more confident and achieving girl, living a whole different life than she imagined, with just, a helping hand.
Education isn't a prize to be won, but an asset which helps an individual stand up on their own two feet, and a perfectly capable individual, shouldn't lose that chance. May it be that she is financially unstable, physically, or even mentally unstable, everyone, should get a chance at life, a chance at the likelihood of their future being in their hands. There are many families giving up a females education, more than we know.
I won't bluntly ask you to support this campaign. I need you to think, what impact this will have, on a mere child. Our mothers, sisters, cousins, even the servant or watchman's kid, deserve a shot at education. All this sounds like a random motivational speech, but this is reality. They say that this generations kids are the next generations leaders. Then why not assist them to see that? All these girls need is a helping hand.

ABOUT IIMA ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
IIMAAAHCCT was established by the IIMA Alumni in Hyderabad as a vehicle to undertake social causes. The Trust comprises senior bureaucrats and corporate leaders. In the past, IIMAAAHCCT has given back to society through Jaipur Foot Camps (benefiting over 1100 physically disabled poor), Plastic Surgery Camps (which have opened a new future for over 3600 children), and providing career counseling through the CXO Advise initiative.
TAX BENEFITS:
Funding for this campaign is eligible for tax breaks as IIMAAA CHARITABLE TRUST is a registered NGO and you can avail of benefits under section 80G of the IT act. Foreign funding is not accepted.
FEEDBACK THAT YOU GET:
To ensure that there is complete transparency I shall get a report from NGO (this takes between 2 to 4 months usually after the funds are raised and transferred to them) telling me who benefitted from the funding. The details will then be posted on the UPDATES section of my campaign and will be in a format like the one below. As soon as I post an update, the platform will send an EMAIL alert to all the funders - i.e. to you. Click on the link on the email and you can read about which woman benefitted. That's transparent right.

Will we get to know the details of who benefitted?
Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to IIMAAA CHARITABLE TRUST. They will update you on the details of the beneficiaries as soon as possible. Once we get this information we shall upload a report on the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert and can read details about the beneficiaries.
When do we get the receipts?
The receipts will start getting processed about 4 to 6 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.
