THE BACKGROUND
My wife Sakina has Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). It is a type of cancer that starts in the bone marrow (the soft inner part of certain bones, where new blood cells are made), but most often it quickly moves into the blood, as well. Sakina was a former teacher at Fazlani L'Academie Globale School in Mazgaon, Mumbai. Sakina and I live in a joint family with our 3-year-old son, my parents, brother, and his family.
Sakina was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in April 2021. This disease has been gruesome and financially draining for our family. We have funded 40L from our own savings and have now run out of funds for further treatment. We need your help to continue the treatment.
The cost for the remaining treatment and medicines is 7 Lakhs.

- Signs and symptoms of AML include fever, feeling tired, and easy bruising or bleeding.
- Tests that examine the blood and bone marrow are used to diagnose AML.
- Certain factors affect prognosis (chance of recovery) and treatment options

How does crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept and is growing very quickly.
It’s a concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online. Fueladream.com is a crowdfunding platform in India that allows for such pooling of funds. You can fund innovations and ideas on FuelADream and be the first to get these products or make them come true. You can also do a good turn by funding charities and causes through crowdfunding. When you fund a charity it’s more like a donation and you get small innovative rewards like a shout-out on an FB page or a thank you email from the beneficiaries.
