Nishikant Gaikwad was a good friend and a work colleague to many of us. He was an amazing human being, full of and high on life. He never stopped being a loving husband, a caring father, a dependable friend and a sincere colleague till a Cardiac Arrest on the 29th May 2022 put an untimely, unfortunate and tragic end to his life. 

He was just 43 years old and his sudden demise has created a crisis for his family !!

Nishikant had a tough time financially since the onset of COVID as he lost his job and though he put up a brave fight with a smile, his resistance too ended with his life. 

Let’s get together and extend immediate financial support to his family in this hour of need. This campaign aims to raise INR 20L at least. The more we raise the better. The funds raised will be sent to the account of his wife.

Nishikant is survived by his wife Madhavi and two school-going sons, Harsh Gaikwad and Arnav Gaikwad. They reside at Bhayander, Maharashtra. He studied at the Vivek Vidyalaya and Junior college at Goregaon West.

 While he worked with us for about 5 years at Helios Media, I have personally known him even before that and we alway kept in touch post our stint together at Helios Media.

The least we can do as colleagues, friends and fellow human beings is extend a helping hand and contribute in raising a sizable fund together to give some reprieve and breathing space to the family. The fund will take care of their immediate needs and give them time to re-collect and organize themselves. Let's help them secure their today for them to fight back for their better tomorrow themselves. This will make a big difference to his family. The funds we are raising will possibly be enough to help the family for two years and will be used mainly for the kids' education and other costs. So please continue funding till the last day irrespective of the amount we raise, as the more we collect the more breathing space the family has financially.

Nishikant was wonderful to be around and was very well liked and easy going.

ABOUT ME

My name is Shrutish Maharaj. I am a media professional based out of Mumbai. In my career spanning almost two decades, I have worked with Media Brands like India Today, HT Media, Network18, UTV News Ltd, Times Television Network,Helios Media and Enterr10 Tv Network. 

I have known Nishikant Gaikwad for almost 10 Years. Nishikant had always been a very sincere and supportive colleague  and a very dear  friend to all of us at Helios Media, who was  always ready to help people in their time of need and crisis whether on personal or professional front.  It's extremely painful and  tragic that a young man with an indomitable spirit for life succumbed to an untimely  and unfortunate death.

Nishikant and his family had been under severe financial stress since the start of Covid-19. Post losing his job due to Covid, Nishikant bravely and gracefully fought with his situation and worked on his own as a Freelancer to make ends meet for himself and his family. However due to the not so upbeat condition of the economy at large and his industry in specific,the going had never been easy for him. With his demise, the hopes of revival have taken a severe beating too.  The family is undergoing something which they would have never dreamt of. His wife and children need our help for a brighter future. Let us all come together and help the family during these difficult times. I am sure a little support from our side will help give some breathing space to the family to collect and re-organise themselves and fight back with all their might and will.

Nishikant's family has lost the battle on both fronts which is his life and a brighter future for them. We all dream when we live but the dreams don’t die along with us, dreams do live on. He still dreams on through the eyes of his family and his dreams are not too unrealistic either. Proper education for his children and a little support for his wife and family is what we aim to achieve through this initiative.

IN SUMMARY

The dignified human being that Nishikant was, he would have loved to contribute and enable better lives for others in a similar situation. Let us all do our bit and give his family the support they deserve. Our little support will make a big difference to Madhavi, Harsh and Arnav. It will help his sons with their schooling and help make these young teenagers become capable, independent, and sensitive adults. They would have it in their DNA to give it back to the society that supported them once.
