Charvik is a four-month old infant with a large hole in his heart!!!
I am a contract worker and can’t afford this surgery to save my infant son. Help me save my child!
My son Charvik was diagnosed with a moderately larger VSD (Ventricular Septal Defect) in his heart just 2 weeks after birth. We were referred to Dr. Devananda at the Manipal Hospital in Bangalore, who advised us that our baby had to undergo surgical closure of the defect (called the Ventricular Septal defect –VSD) at the earliest.

My name is Paramesh and I am a contract labourer. My wife, Gomathi, is a housewife. We are from Mangalore and depending on the contracts I get; I make INR 10000/- a month. We have a 3-year-old daughter as well and my family of four is dependent on me.
The BD (Bidirectional Glenn) Shunt surgery costs INR 3.5 Lakhs and the post-surgery treatment and ITU care will cost an additional INR 1.8 Lakhs. I have spent the last 3 months trying to raise the money to save my child’s life. But this has been an impossible mission.
Manipal hospital has been generous and waived 52% of the costs and we are turning to crowdfunding to raise the remaining amount of INR 2.8 Lakhs approximately.
Please help us raise this money so that our son can lead a full and healthy life.

FAQs
How does crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept & is growing very quickly.
It’s s concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an Idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online. Fueladream is a crowdfunding site and platform in India that allows for such a pooling of funds.
You can fund innovations & ideas on FuelADream and be the first to get these products or make them come true. You can also do a good turn by funding charities and causes through crowdfunding. When you fund a charity it’s more like a donation & you get small innovative rewards like a shout-out on a FB page or a thank you email from the beneficiaries.
