Vidhya Mandir is a school located in Sanganer, Rajasthan. This is a critical school providing quality education in the area. 200 students study here between Grades 1-10. Most of these students are from low-income homes. Their parents are block printers in factories or small-scale tailors. They earn very low salaries and are mostly given to them by the 20th of every month or sometimes not at all. This makes it very difficult for them to pay the fees on time. Most families have long dues to pay.
My friends and I have decided to help the school procure benches and desks. Each set costs INR 3000 and can be used by 4 students. The tables and benches will improve the facilities provided to the students as well as enhance their productivity and posture. This will help them study better and boost attendance.
We also aim to provide books (for Math, Science, English, EVS, Hindi, a drawing book, and a cursive writing book) to those students who cannot afford it. Each set of these books cost INR 1000. This will give children from families who are not financially strong the opportunity to study.
Images below show glimpses of the current classrooms. Since there is a demand for admissions for the next academic year, there is a need to procure more desks and benches to accommodate more students.

This campaign is extremely close to my heart. I have taken up this initiative because I think it is incredible to impact the education of a student who is not as fortunate as I am by providing benches, desks, and books. The absence of proper classroom furniture will result in poor posture, eyesight, illegible handwriting, and overall low productivity in class. It is very important that all students have access to proper benches and desks. Through this campaign, I also aim to provide books to those students who cannot afford it.
