THE PROBLEM
Congenital heart disorders are ailments that affect children at birth and at a young age. According to experts, one in every hundred children suffers from a heart ailment. Heart surgeries performed on children cost typically between INR 2.5L to 5L depending on the case and complexity. This makes it hard for parents from low-income communities to be able to give their children a healthy life.
THE SOLUTION
The B.J. Wadia Hospital for Children that is located at Parel in Mumbai is performing these surgeries at a much much lower cost of between 60000 INR to 1.5L INR depending on the complexity. Grants and other donors and subsidies from paid surgeries will take care of part of the costs. We need just INR 30000 to make surgery happen. It is Asia's biggest paediatric charitable hospital.
HELP RAISE INR 30000 AND SAVE A LIFE.
The money raised will be given directly after the campaign ends to the B J Wadia Charitable Hospital - Mumbai. Once the money is given to the hospital they will use it to save the life of a poor child and share the details with me. I shall then send you an update about the child we have saved so that you know where your money has gone.

ABOUT ME & THIS CAMPAIGN
My name is Aksharaa Korrakuti . I am 16 years old and in Grade 11 at Jamnabai Narsee International School, Mumbai.
We recently learned about crowdfunding and the wide-scale change we can cause throught just our individual campaigns and small donations from you has inspired me. Healthcare is something that should be a basic right and ammenity for all but that is not always the case. Millions of infants from low-income households and rural communites are born with congenital heart diseases every year but do not have sufficient money to fund life saving surgeries. Due to this , families break apart, hearts break ... in many ways and many parents have to deal with the biggest tragedy of their lives, losing a child.
Crowdfunding is a community- changing and life saving resource that has the ability to save several precious little lives and preserve their families. It is hard to believe that even a small donation from a 100 people could save a life. Such is the way technology is revolutionising the world. This means that even by donating a samll amount of funds just sitting in your home, could SAVE A LIFE. It is a marvelous phenomenon. There should be no child anywhere in the world who is robbed of living a full and beautiful life, and your small donation can give a child that life.
Please help me spread the word and donate a small amount so that we can come together and heal a childs heart and their soul

How does crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept & is growing very quickly.
It’s s concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online. Fueladream is a crowdfunding site and platform in India that allows for such pooling of funds. You can fund innovations & ideas on FuelADream and be the first to get these products or make them come true. You can also do a good turn by funding charities and causes through crowdfunding. When you fund a charity it’s more like a donation & you get small innovative rewards like a shout-out on a FB page or a thank you email from the beneficiaries.
