THE PROBLEM
Many women in the rural belts of Telangana, face a stark future as their household incomes are low and employment opportunities are few. Economically poor families have faced severe impacts, with many losing their livelihoods and depleting their savings throughout the recent economic stress. The background is as follows :
- Increased poverty levels in the rural areas of Telangana is a challenge.
- Many poor families are financially stressed simply because women do not have any proper skills to earn a living or make a livelihood.
- Many women in economically poor families are keen to work and earn to improve their household income.
- Many of these families face a grim future financially and every day is a struggle.
- There are thousands of such women who need assistance of some kind so that they can earn a livelihood and enhance their earnings
Therefore there is an urgent need for these women to be involved in income-generating activities. The project aims to support such families, to stand on their own feet and achieve financial independence.
THE SOLUTION
Nirmaan Organization, an NGO based in Hyderabad is helping women establish a livelihood so that they can be independent and support their families. The NGO provides sewing classes to these underprivileged women at Nirmaan training centers in Hyderabad. This campaign aims to provide sewing machines to these women who have completed the training. Each woman would receive a livelihood kit consisting of a sewing machine, stand, and other accessories and would own these items.
They would then be able to set up a small business by building a customer base in their locality stitching daily wear items like blouses, salwar kameez, frocks, etc.
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
The women will be trained for 3 months in the Nirmaan facility.
Training is provided free of cost.
On completion of the training, they will be given USHA Sewing Machines.
The target is to support 1500 women through this project.

My name is Patha Krishitha. I am 16 years old and in Grade 11 at the Chirec Intl School (CBSE), Hyderabad.
I am doing this campaign to help underprivileged women and give them a livelihood. The beneficiaries are from in and around Hyderabad, Telangana. This will give them a sustainable livelihood by providing them with suitable training in fashion designing, tailoring etc and also by giving them sewing machines. This will completely transform their lives and also impact their families.
The fact that it costs just INR 9000 to impact a woman is amazing. I was surprised to learn that with just this much, they can have a sustainable livelihood. Through this campaign, I aim to transform the lives of many underprivileged women and their families. This will make them financially independent and impact their families for generations to come.

ABOUT THE NGO
Nirmaan Organization is a registered NGO, started by students of BITS Pilani in 2005. We work in the areas of Education, Skill Development and entrepreneurship, Health and well-being, Community Development, and Social Leadership. In the past 16 years of our journey, we have impacted the lives of 1.5+ million Children, Women, Youth, and Farmers from diverse social backgrounds across 15 States of India, with the support of 300+ full-time employees and 1000+ strong volunteer network while partnering with 75+ Corporate, Government and Philanthropic partners.
TAX BENEFITS
The funds from this campaign go to the Nirmaan Organization. Funding for this campaign is eligible for tax breaks as this trust is a registered NGO. You can avail of benefits under section 80G of the IT Act.

FEEDBACK THAT YOU GET:
To ensure that there is complete transparency I shall get a report from the NGO (this takes between 1 to 3 months usually after the funds are raised and transferred to them) telling me who benefitted from the funding. The details will then be posted in the UPDATES section of my campaign and will be in a format like the one below. As soon as I post an update, the platform will send an EMAIL alert to all the funders - i.e. to you. Click on the link in the email and you can read about which woman benefitted.
FAQs
Will we get to know the details of how the money was spent?
Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to Nirmaan Organization. It will take from 60 to 120 days after that to get details of who the beneficiary was with details of them. Once I get this information from them I shall upload the picture of the beneficiary on the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert and can read details about the beneficiaries.
When do I get the receipts?
It takes up to 2-3 weeks after the campaign is closed for the monies to be transferred to the NGO. The receipts will start getting processed about 6 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.
