The DASHANK series is an initiative by SPIC MACAY (The Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth), an organization that has been shaping India's cultural fabric since 1977. 

SPIC MACAY is a 47-year-old NGO that has impacted over 1 CRORE students.

WHAT IS THE DASHANK SERIES?

The Dashank Series is a unique initiative by SPIC MACAY, designed to bring eminent artists to conduct a 6-day event encompassing music, dance, movies, and workshops in small towns. This initiative aims to inspire students with a deep sense of belonging to our cultural heritage.

  • During the 6-day series, more than 5500 students join in, exploring 11 programs meticulously designed to spark their curiosity and support all-around development.
  • Spanning from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, SPIC MACAY's programs across 100 districts are set to impact 5.5 lakh students across India.

The series provides students with opportunities to engage with renowned artists, fostering mentorship and inspiration, while also deepening their understanding of Indian heritage and promoting a sense of belonging, identity, and valuable experiential learning for new SPIC MACAY volunteers.



We need to raise INR 2.2 crore to conduct the Dashank series in 100 districts across India, aiming to make a significant difference in the lives of students from small towns!!!

I am MAUSHUMI BAROOAH a concerned citizen passionate about cultural education. My campaign focuses on bringing the transformative Dashank series to children in small towns.

Dashank is an initiative by SPIC MACAY (The Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth), an organization that has been shaping India's cultural fabric since 1977.

Bringing the Dashank series to 100 districts across India requires raising INR 2.2 Cr, benefiting 5.5 L students. ABOUT THE NGO:


SPIC MACAY, founded in 1977 by Dr. Kiran Seth, is a non-political, nationwide movement promoting Indian classical arts and culture among youth. It enriches formal education by raising awareness of Indian heritage, inspiring values, and fostering a connection to the cultural tapestry of India and the world. Through over 5,000 annual programs in 1,500 institutions across 1,000 cities, SPIC MACAY, run by volunteers, including students, teachers, and professionals, reaches over 3 million students. The organization received the Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana Award in 2011 for its significant contribution to youth development.


TAX BENEFITS:

Funding for this campaign is eligible for tax breaks as the NGO, SPIC MACAY is a registered trust and you can avail of benefits under section 80G of the IT Act. Foreign funding is NOT accepted.

Will we get to know the details of who benefitted?

Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to SPIC MACAY. They will update you on the details of the beneficiaries as soon as possible. Once we get this information we shall upload a report on the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert and can read details about the beneficiaries.

When do we get the receipts?

The receipts will start getting processed about 4 to 6 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.
