BACKDROP:

Driven by a vision for positive change, I, made a pivotal decision in 2017 to pursue my passion for politics over a career as an assistant professor in Hindi at Magadh University. The choice stemmed from my unwavering commitment to serving the people and addressing their needs on a broader platform.

In 2020, I had the privilege of representing Paliganj in the Assembly polls, proudly nominated by the Mahagathbandhan. My journey from my hometown Maner near Patna, to JNU for my education—earning a master's degree in 2009, an MPhil in 2011, and a PhD in 2017 has deepened my understanding of the societal challenges we face.

सकारात्मक बदलाव के दृष्टिकोण से प्रेरित होकर, मैंने 2017 में मगध विश्वविद्यालय में हिंदी में सहायक प्रोफेसर के रूप में करियर के बजाय राजनीति के प्रति अपने जुनून को आगे बढ़ाने का एक महत्वपूर्ण निर्णय लिया। यह विकल्प लोगों की सेवा करने और व्यापक मंच पर उनकी जरूरतों को संबोधित करने की मेरी अटूट प्रतिबद्धता से उपजा है।

2020 में, मुझे विधानसभा चुनावों में पालीगंज का प्रतिनिधित्व करने का सौभाग्य मिला, जिसे महागठबंधन द्वारा गर्व से नामित किया गया था। अपनी शिक्षा के लिए पटना के पास अपने गृहनगर मनेर से लेकर जेएनयू तक की मेरी यात्रा - 2009 में मास्टर डिग्री, 2011 में एमफिल और 2017 में पीएचडी हासिल करने से हमारे सामने आने वाली सामाजिक चुनौतियों के बारे में मेरी समझ गहरी हो गई है।

Serving as the general secretary of the JNU Students' Union and later as the national secretary of the All India Students' Association has fortified my determination to advocate for the rights of all, particularly those from marginalized backgrounds. My father's legacy as a marginal farmer has instilled in me the values of diligence and community service, propelling me to tirelessly champion social justice and collective welfare. My constant engagement in movements for contractual- workers in JNU, agitations for recognition of Madarsa certificates in higher education institutions in 2007-8, and the constant struggle for implementation of OBC reservation in higher education institutions, which started in JNU and later spread nationwide have profoundly shaped my awareness of the challenges faced by the students' community. 

These movements have illuminated the systemic inequalities embedded within educational institutions and society at large. They've underscored the importance of inclusive policies and equal opportunities for all students, regardless of their backgrounds. Leading the Occupy UGC movement against the scrapping of non-NET fellowships has highlighted the necessity of advocating for social justice within educational spaces. Through these experiences, I've come to recognize the power of collective action in bringing about meaningful change and addressing the pressing issues affecting students' and workers' lives.

जेएनयू छात्र संघ के महासचिव और बाद में अखिल भारतीय छात्र संघ के राष्ट्रीय सचिव के रूप में कार्य करने से सभी के अधिकारों, विशेषकर हाशिए की पृष्ठभूमि के लोगों के अधिकारों की वकालत करने का मेरा दृढ़ संकल्प मजबूत हुआ है। एक सीमांत किसान के रूप में मेरे पिता की विरासत ने मुझमें परिश्रम और सामुदायिक सेवा के मूल्यों को स्थापित किया है, जिसने मुझे सामाजिक न्याय और सामूहिक कल्याण के लिए अथक प्रयास करने के लिए प्रेरित किया है। जेएनयू में संविदा-कर्मचारियों के लिए आंदोलनों में मेरी निरंतर भागीदारी, 2007-8 में उच्च शिक्षा संस्थानों में मदरसा प्रमाणपत्रों की मान्यता के लिए आंदोलन, और उच्च शिक्षा संस्थानों में ओबीसी आरक्षण के कार्यान्वयन के लिए निरंतर संघर्ष, जो जेएनयू में शुरू हुआ और बाद में देश भर में फैल गया। छात्र समुदाय के सामने आने वाली चुनौतियों के बारे में मेरी जागरूकता को गहराई से आकार दिया। इन आंदोलनों ने बड़े पैमाने पर शैक्षणिक संस्थानों और समाज के भीतर अंतर्निहित प्रणालीगत असमानताओं पर प्रकाश डाला है। उन्होंने सभी छात्रों के लिए, उनकी पृष्ठभूमि की परवाह किए बिना, समावेशी नीतियों और समान अवसरों के महत्व को रेखांकित किया है। गैर-नेट फेलोशिप को खत्म करने के खिलाफ ऑक्युपाई यूजीसी आंदोलन का नेतृत्व करते हुए शैक्षिक क्षेत्रों में सामाजिक न्याय की वकालत करने की आवश्यकता पर प्रकाश डाला गया है। इन अनुभवों के माध्यम से, मैंने सार्थक परिवर्तन लाने और छात्रों और श्रमिकों के जीवन को प्रभावित करने वाले महत्वपूर्ण मुद्दों को संबोधित करने में सामूहिक कार्रवाई की शक्ति को पहचाना है।

हिंदी अकादमी में प्रतिष्ठित नौकरी के बजाय राजनीति में रास्ता चुनना मेरे लिए एक निर्णायक क्षण था। अब, बिहार से लोकसभा टिकट मिलना समाज में सकारात्मक बदलाव को बढ़ावा देने के लिए मेरी अटूट प्रतिबद्धता और दृष्टिकोण का प्रमाण है।

The 2024 elections hold immense significance for me, as it represents a pivotal moment in my career journey within the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Liberation. This election not only showcases my strategic influence and leadership potential but also signifies a deep commitment to advancing meaningful policies.
