THE INITIATIVE :
Raahein, an initiative by the Dear Sunshine Foundation (a NGO), was launched in 2020 during the pandemic to support struggling musicians and craftsmen. Recognizing their vital role in preserving culture and heritage, the foundation aimed to address the challenges faced by these artists. There are two main focus areas :
To promote the works of artists - Raahein provides essential skills in sound and presentation, markets their work thus enabling musicians to enhance their artistry and achieve greater visibility.
To take care of their basic necessities - Raahein offers financial support and takes care of a part of their monthly costs to ensure these artists can fully dedicate themselves to their craft without the distraction of financial hardships.
EXAMPLE 1 :
Raahein showcase the talent of local musicians by creating this wonderful music video and marketed it. This video garnered over 8 million views! This results in enquiries to perform and this provides a livelihood for these artists.

Through this crowdfunding campaign, I am raising funds to financially support part of the monthly expenses of these artists.
ABOUT ME AND THIS CAMPAIGN:
My name is Kamini Khanna. I am a concerned citizen. I am stepping forward to support local musicians by providing for their basic needs and offering skills training. This will enable them to promote their amazing music and ensure our rich heritage lives on through their talents. Kindly support my campaign and help us preserve this invaluable cultural legacy.

Impacting a musician costs just INR 20000 per month, providing them the opportunity to learn and upskill, enabling self-sufficiency. This modest amount can profoundly change an artist's life. It will also help them focus better on their art and help them significantly in enhancing their prospects.

Dear Sunshine Foundation – a Not for Profit with a primary focus on building capacities of low-paid musicians and close-to-extinct artisans of Indian Craft and Textiles, born out of the disruption caused by the 2020 Pandemic. Through this initiative, Dear Sunshine Foundation is committed to building a self–reliant community that becomes an independent collective focused on preservation, innovation, and excellence.
RAAHEIN was started in the year 2022 to create an immersive space for MUSICIANSHIP and GURUSHIP beyond boundaries. Raahein creates Independent Music across PAN INDIA by up-skilling and incubating underprivileged, yet unsung musicians, lyricists and vocalists to propel the spirit of Indian musicianship forward. Will we get to know the details of who benefitted?
Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to Dear Sunshine Foundation. They will update you on the details of the beneficiaries as soon as possible. Once we get this information we shall upload a report on the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert and can read details about the beneficiaries.
When do we get the receipts?
The receipts will start getting processed about 4 to 6 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.
