ABOUT ME AND THIS INITIATIVE
I'm Anya, a Grade 11 student at the Hyderabad Public School. Art has always been an important part of who I am, and my deep passion for it continues to grow everyday. I wish that my art, in the form of this 2025 calendar, might serve as a small contribution to helping a child in India get a meal that could greatly impact their young growing minds.
For 2025, I decided to explore the beauty of India through the lens of an artist, exploring those unique moments and visuals that define India's culture and heritage. The calendar, themed "Incredible India" consists of 12 digital hand-drawn images each exploring different avenues of India ranging from architectural sketches to candid moments.
I hope that through these calendars I will be able to bring about some happiness, both from my artworks and from bringing smiles to the faces of young children.
MY 2025 DESK CALENDAR
This campaign is very special to me as I, through my work will not only spread joy but also will help those who are less fortunate than me. Read on to discover how.
I want to spread joy to underprivileged children who go to government school. The aim is to eliminate classroom hunger and attracting more children (enrolment) to schools and ensure to keep them in school (reduce dropout rate) by feeding a filling, nutritious mid-day meal every school day. The Mid-Day meal serves as an incentive for children to get proper education, improve socialization among children, and empower women through employment opportunities This is being done by the NGO, Akshaya Patra.
For every calendar that is pre-ordered, one child in Telangana will be given mid-day meals for four months.
HOW TO PRE-ORDER MY 2025 DESK CALENDAR

- For 1 calendar, you select 1 reward. To pre-order 4 calendars, you claim the reward 4 times or fund INR 4000.

ABOUT THE MID-DAY MEAL INITIATIVE
Would you be able to study and learn if hunger was your classroom companion?
Classroom hunger affects children’s ability to learn and grow. To solve this challenge, Akshaya Patra began the Food for Education initiative.
Akshaya Patra strives to eliminate classroom hunger and aims at countering malnutrition and supporting the right to education of socio-economically disadvantaged children. By feeding them one wholesome meal a day, students get the nourishment and motivation they need to pursue an education for a better future.
A recent UNICEF report states that more than 80 million children drop out before completing 8 years of age and over 8 million children are out of school. Akshaya Patra is focused on eliminating classroom hunger and attracting more children (enrolment) to schools by giving them mid-day meals.
