I am a passionate advocate for social justice and equality. I would like to begin by expressing my heartfelt gratitude to everyone dedicated to the cause of Peace, Prosperity, and Justice for all in our beloved country. India is the largest democracy in the world, but we struggle to also make it the strongest democracy based on the ideals of liberty, equality and fraternity, and citizen-centric governance. I am the united candidate of the Mahavikas Aghadi Alliance (MVA) in Maharashtra, part of the larger I.N.D.I.A front that is fighting the forces of hate, corruption, and destruction in India

MY JOURNEY: WHERE I COME FROM? 

I am a student activist and politician who is making an impact in Maharashtra politics. I was born in Baheri and am now the Nationalist Congress Party's (NCP-SP) candidate for the Anushakti Nagar constituency in Mumbai for the 2024 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections. My journey to politics started when I was the general secretary of the TISS (Tata Institute of Social Science) student union from 2017 to 2018. During that time, I led protests against the rollback of fee waivers for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and other backward classes. It was a pivotal moment for me, as I saw firsthand the impact that activism could have on people's lives.

But my commitment to social justice didn't stop there. I also participated in anti-CAA protests in Mumbai and attended several rallies across India. Being part of those movements showed me the power of collective action and solidified my resolve to fight for the rights of marginalized communities.

Looking back, those experiences shaped my understanding of the importance of advocacy and mobilization in bringing about change. They laid the foundation for my future endeavors in politics, where I aim to continue championing the causes that matter most to me.

On a personal note, I am married to Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker. My marriage is a beautiful journey that has brought immense joy and love into my life. Swara's intelligence, compassion, and commitment to social justice resonated deeply with me. Together, we welcomed our precious daughter, Raabiyaa, who has brought boundless happiness into our lives.

My journey into politics began with my activism, and I've been part of several protests and rallies across India, including the Anti-CAA NRC protests. I believe in the power of collective action and mobilization to bring about change. As a member of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), I'm committed to working towards a more just and equitable society.

MY VISION:

• My constituency Anushakti Nagar is in the centre of a thriving metropolis, India’s financial capital and most dynamic city, and yet there are many slums and settlements in Anushakti Nagar that don’t have access to a proper water connection, drinking water, toilets, primary education, or public health facilities. My vision for my constituency is to ensure that all residents have access to basic amenities and are able to live life in a dignified manner.
  Water supply, functioning toilets, public education, and public health are the top priorities for me.
• Empowering Marginalized Communities: I'm dedicated to amplifying the voices of those who've been silenced or oppressed.
• Promoting Social Justice: I believe in addressing the systemic inequalities that perpetuate social injustice.
• Fostering Education and Awareness: I aim to educate people about their rights and empower them to demand change.
  
  

THE 2024 ELECTIONS :

My vision for India is a society rich in social justice, economic equality, and cultural harmony. I envision a nation where education and healthcare are universal rights, where youth and farmers are empowered, and where women have equal opportunities. Our collective Vision for the country is encapsulated in our Paanch Nyay. 

As your candidate, I aim to implement participatory governance that listens, responds, and delivers. We are committed to building strong educational frameworks, improving healthcare accessibility, creating economic opportunities, and ensuring better safety for all.
