My name is Abeer Gosain. I am 16 years old and a Grade 11 student at The Shri Ram School, Moulsari campus in Gurgaon. Am also an environmental enthusiast dedicated to creating a sustainable future for our planet. I have always been deeply concerned about the declining health of India’s trees—a silent crisis that threatens our environment, wildlife, and communities.
This concern led me to develop TREVIVE (Tree Revive - Nurture All Trees), a groundbreaking innovation in real-time tree health monitoring that has the potential to transform how we care for the trees around us.
THE PROBLEM:
Pic: Image shows Delhi's vanishing urban tree, as reported by the patriot.in.
India's trees face unprecedented threats from climate change, pollution, and neglect. As trees die, our green cover shrinks, biodiversity is lost, and air quality deteriorates, posing direct challenges to our communities. Without proactive care and intervention, our trees – the lungs of our planet – will struggle to survive. The first challenge is identifying unhealthy trees, and the next is determining the necessary steps to help them
THE SOLUTION:
TREVIVE is an easy-to-use tool that combines cutting-edge sensor technology with a simple mobile app to empower citizens, schools, and organisations to monitor and nurture tree health effectively.
By providing real-time data on critical factors like air temperature, soil humidity, and soil moisture levels, TREVIVE equips caretakers with actionable insights to preserve trees and ensure ecological balance.
The solution is a simple 2-STEP process :
Pic: That is me monitoring the health of a Basil plant with the TREVIVE sensor.
STEP 1: A SENSOR is inserted in the SOIL next to the plants/trees. This measures 3 critical parameters that impact the health of the plant/tree.
STEP 2: The data from the sensor is entered into an APP that I have developed (for both Android and IOS). Once the data is inserted the algorithm calculates the health of the tree and provides advice on what needs to be done to improve or maintain the health of the plant/tree.
It's as simple as that. The costs involved in this project include the cost of the sensor, developing the APP and then scaling up procuring more sensors and distributing them to more farmers/gardeners/agriculturists etc.
TREVIVE's innovative, low-power consumption technology facilitates extensive, large-scale monitoring of tree health, enabling citizens, conservationists, and environmentalists to make data-driven decisions and take proactive measures to protect and preserve tree populations, forests, and agricultural farms.
What are the costs and what are the funding needs?
The total project cost is approx INR 5L. This is mainly the cost of sensor development and production, executing a pilot project, developing the APP etc.
My parents have already made a contribution of INR 2.5L and there is a “funding gap” of INR 2.5L approx.
This is what I aim to raise through this crowdfunding campaign with YOUR support.
Scroll down for details of the PILOT PROJECT AND COST ELEMENTS.
THE PILOT PROJECT:
We’re starting with a pilot program in schools across Delhi NCR. This phase will test the sensor's efficiency, app functionality, and data analysis system while raising awareness among students, gardeners, and horticulture teams.
There is a need for 300 SENSORS at this stage.

COST BREAK-UP:
To bring TREVIVE to life, we need your support.
The immediate goal is to manufacture and distribute 300 sensor devices for the pilot phase. The details are as follows :
We are seeking INR 2.5L to complete our project, having already made a significant advance payment of INR 2.5L to the sensor supplier/manufacturer.
This is against the total project cost of INR 5L.

ABOUT ME:
My name is Abeer Gosain. I am a grade 11 student at The Shri Ram School, Moulsari campus in Gurgaon. My robotics teacher, Ms Mansi Khanna, and I thought of this idea 15-months ago.
From the germination of the idea to multiple levels of circuit development (there were a lot of hits and misses ) to finally building the prototype, it has been an interesting and fascinating learning experience.
I have always been interested in the environment and have also been coding and making circuits for years. However, I wanted to do something that has never been done before, which combines environment and technology. This sensor device is one of a kind. Its USP is its ease of use and the data it throws up. It can revolutionise farming and forestry.
To take TREVIVE to the next level and make it a reality, I need your support. The total project cost is INR 5L, out of which I've already made a significant advance payment of INR 2.5L to the supplier of the sensors. I need to raise INR 2.5L to complete the funding for this project.
Your contribution will help bring TREVIVE to life. It will help empower communities to monitor and protect tree health and promote a sustainable future for our planet.
FEEDBACK:
To ensure that there is complete transparency, we will post feedback on the UPDATES section of the campaign about the progress of the launch of Trevive. As soon as we post an update, the platform will send an EMAIL alert to all the funders - i.e. to you. That's transparent, right?

How does crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept and is growing very quickly.
It’s a concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online. Fueladream.com is a crowdfunding platform in India that allows for such pooling of funds. You can fund innovations and ideas on FuelADream and be the first to get these products or make them come true. You can also do a good turn by funding charities and causes through crowdfunding.
